“The comedian was super funny. The MC and the opening act were good as well. Service was quick and the food was tasty. The drinks are great! My cousin ordered the shrimp basket. She wasn't a fan. She said there was more breading than shrimp. The spinach dip was a hit! The chips were fresh a little on the salty side for me but I don't like a lot of salt. The burgers and wings were good too.“

“Wanted to give a huge shout out to the Tap Room (Patchogue) (specifically the Patchogue location). We were invited to a family party, buffet-style. I reached out to the restaurant via email, because I wanted to make sure they could accommodate my daughters food allergies -- eggs, soy, sunflower seeds, tree nuts and peanuts, or I would plan ahead and pack snacks she could safely eat instead. The Culinary Director, Joseph Walsh, called me the next day. He spoke to me for awhile, went over her food allergies, made some suggestions, and assured me that he would come up with something she could safely eat. The morning of the party, he sent me an email to confirm we were coming and his suggestions for a safe meal (rice and beans sauteed with bell peppers, chicken cutlet w/ no egg, and a mixed fruit salad). I emailed him back that just rice and beans and the fruit salad would be fine, because she doesn't eat chicken. He emailed me back, concerned that rice and beans and a fruit salad wouldn't be enough, but I assured him it would be fine because she's only 7 and has anxiety over trying new foods at restaurants (understandably), so sticking with rice and beans and fruit salad, which she's comfortable with, would be perfect. At the event, Joseph told my relative that he wanted to talk to us, and when we arrived, he came to introduce himself, told me that he was making sure everything was prepared separately and would be ready for her shortly. Absolutely fantastic service. We truly, truly appreciated all his care and effort, because that's sadly not the norm most of the time when we try to eat out. Brian made sure I had everything I asked for right down to specific music I wanted played and always helped make things perfect. Very reasonably priced and very hard working staff. “As a musician who has played so many bars all over NY state I must say the environment at Tailgsters is so incredibly special. First, they treat the bands with love and respect. It should be the norm but sadly it’s not always the case. They go above and beyond. From the ownership to every single enologee that works there, it’s impossible not to absolutely love every person associated with this bar. The crowd is great and super friendly and safe and I genuinely look forward to playing there again. They treat their customers, staff; and performers like family. Really like family. I am so grateful that we’ve played there twice and I’m already looking to playing there again. Michelle behind the bar is a genuinely great person and makes awesome drinks, but every single person there is so approachable and engaging. I can recommend Tailgsters as a genuinely fun environment that treats everyone like family. I look forward to just visiting when I’m not playing. Impressed is a huge understatement. Thank you so much for treating our band the way you did. Truly an Awsome night and the staff and crowd at Tailgatets made our night extra special. Thank you for being genuine and amazing people. This isn’t your typical ballroom venue—it has a laid-back, summer-on-the-water vibe that feels like the best kind of outdoor party you’d have with all your favorite people. Think string lights, dockside breezes, and that perfect mix of casual and magical.

Even with the rain, the party never skipped a beat. The staff handled everything flawlessly and made sure our day was seamless from start to finish. A huge shoutout to Holly, Justin, and Emily—they were absolute pros. Every detail was taken care of, every question answered, and every moment managed with care and enthusiasm. They made us feel at ease and let us fully enjoy our day without a single worry. Not to mention they are just the nicest, most genuine people ever.

Our guests are still raving about how much fun they had and how beautiful everything looked, rain and all. I can’t wait to update this review with photos from the photographer. “Hands down the Best meals, portions and service we had all week on Fire Island! The coconut shrimp and calamari apps were fantastic. The scallops, bone-in ribeye, eggplant entrees and all 3 desserts were phenomenal. Our waitress Christen and Holden gave perfect service. Highly recommend The Dunes!“
