“We tried The Gem tonight and we were not disappointed. Friendly service from start to finish. We chose wings as our appetizer and two draft beers! The wings were crisp on the outside and juicy on the inside. For our main course, we selected the smoked brisket with potato salad and baked beans as our sides. This was by far the best smoked brisket we have had. We ended the meal with the sticky toffee pudding and vanilla ice cream 😍. Head to The Gem for a great meal!”

I forgot to tell my waiter how I wanted the burger, but it came out PERFECT! The homemade potato chips were a good surprise too! Carter was our waiter, and you won't be disappointed if you get him! What a nice, patient, pleasant guy! Definitely coming back for another meal. For 2 of us, the bill was extremely reasonable.”

“Are here for dinner and lunch a few times while staying at the resort. The salmon I had for dinner dinner one evening was cooked perfectly medium rare. Delicious. For lunch, we had pizza each time we ate there paired with salads. The pizza at this restaurant is the best I've ever had. It is thin crust and has the perfect blend of cheese and sauce. So light and delicious, it's hard to stop eating it. The service is also top notch, very professional but friendly. Highly recommend for lunch or dinner.”

“Don’t be fooled by this small near poolside eatery—it’s a great spot if you’re looking for something different from the usual pool menu. Their wings and fried shrimp were delicious, and the prices are quite reasonable.

We also noticed a few visitors from outside the resort wandering the property, and this seems to be the place they choose for lunch.”

“We visited La Bella Vita with a party of 6 to celebrate a birthday in late October. At that time, it was one of the few fine dining restaurants in the area that was still open.

Stepping into the restaurant felt like stepping back in time to the Victorian era, with the decor, clientele, and staff all contributing to what it must have been like in that time period, you’ll see what I mean should you ever visit.

For dinner, our table started with, grilled octopus, lobster and shrimp scampi, and Sardinia style clams which were all tasty, with the clams being a bit spicy which I liked.

For our entrees we had lobster ravioli, the pappardelle short rib, chicken piccata, clams and shrimp, veal chops, all of which we liked. Only the clams and shrimp was described as a bit dry and lacking flavor.

If you’re a fan of fine dining, I recommend La Bella Vita. The service, food, and atmosphere were generally good. The taste of food can be very subjective, as some prefer more muted flavors, whereas I prefer well seasoned, bold contrasting flavors I would say the flavors were generally muted but still tasty and I believe it’s inline with the clientele.

With all that being said, I liked the restaurant and I would visit again. I had asked my table to take photos, most of us were too busy eating, but we did get shots of a few dishes.”

“My husband & I have had the best experience with Billy at Lizzie Keays! They catered our wedding and it was absolutely delicious & all of our guests loved everything and were so impressed! Black Forrest Chicken & Pork Ribeye was amazing. Everyone was raving about the homemade salad dressings and the special orange butter for bread. We went for dinner two days after and had the most magical experience. Billy had a table for us right in front of the live music and sent us over some champagne to congratulate us. The live music sounded so amazing and peaceful and he even announced we had just gotten married and played us a song. It made our experience so special and truly something we will both never forget! That night my husband ordered the steak board special and I ordered the scallops with gnocchi and it was truly so delicious! We will absolutely be back for our anniversary next year. Wish he lived locally so we could go every weekend. Everything is very affordable and it is top quality with amazing gourmet flavor and the atmosphere is perfect and the staff is extremely friendly and welcoming. Thank you Billy!”
