“Nothing special about this Carvel. It is your regular old ice cream store. Lots of flavors and toppings available as well as flying saucers, ice cream cakes and more. Staff was nice during my visit, note there is nowhere to sit inside or outside besides one table and a bench, so it is mostly a to go place. Clean, and affordable. 3/5
Vegetarian options: It’s ice cream, it’s vegetarian. Note, maybe one or two vegan options (sorbet) if any. Call ahead.“

“So clean and has a great topping selection! Also has a vegan self serve which is rare for a froyo place and it's delicious. The price is .85$ per ounce so if you're not getting a ton then it's a really good price I think

“Thrilled to find a shop serving ACTUAL gelato in Westchester. While their product can't compete with what you'd find in Rome, it is legitimately gelato and not ice cream masquerading as such - texture is dense and a little chewy, with very intense flavor. Pistachio and coffee were the winning flavors on our recent visit. Well worth a stop if you are in the area!“

“You may be thinking that all Carvel locations are alike, but they're not. I have visited many Carvel locations in many states, and this one (fortunately my "home" Carvel store) is the best. The soft ice cream is consistently dense and smooth, never runny, and they have a large selections of hard ice creams and sherbets, all of which are delicious. Portion sizes are generous. The staff is friendly and helpful. Never disappointed with anything from this place.“

“First time there today at the Nyack store, chose my personal favorite black raspberry and it was awesome! I am kind of a connoisseur of this flavor, and this was super delicious! Staff was also very friendly and the store nice and clean.“

“The cookies are good but a bit over rated. I love the cool flavors and the fact that the menu changes weekly but sometimes the cookies are way too sweet. There is usually a long line at this location but the employees are pretty fast so the wait is never more than 5-10 minutes. It would be nice if there were places to sit inside the establishment.“

“This is a well-organized self-service ice cream shop. First, you go to a small station where you choose the size of your ice cream cup. Then you go to the second station to choose the flavor of ice cream you would like. The last station is the table full of diverse toppings you can add to your ice cream. How much your ice cream costs depends on how much your ice cream weighs. The establishment offers drinks and desserts as well as a comfortable seating space. Also offers delivery. Enjoy your ice cream ?!

“Exactly what you want a Carvel to be. The soft-serve ice cream is delicious in a way that the other ice cream stores and trucks can’t/don’t match. And somehow this particular Carvel seems to make extra creamy soft-serve, even though I know that’s unlikely since I assume they’re following a standard recipe. Service is always friendly and helpful, and they have buy one get one free Sundaes on Wednesday!“
“I wish I had one of these near me so bad. If you have the app you can get coupons pretty frequently, and get points for your purchases. The person working there was nice and had top notch recommendations and made our milkshakes perfectly. Would go again.“

“I went to a small cakes/brunch class on Sunday. The class was amazing. I learned a great deal about decorating cakes. The owner, Tina was wonderful. The entire staff was very helpful and so patient. Everything was perfect. I cannot wait to go with my friends and coworkers.“

“Tonight... I chose to dream back to the 1970s when Baskin-Robbins were standalone ice cream parlors. This evening however in 2024, I was greeted by a terrific young fellow named Michael. I told him about my escapades with friends as kids in the 1970s with Baskin Robbins and I said would you make me the best banana split you've ever made anyone and his reply was, Sir, I most certainly will. On top of this perfectly ripened banana was Cold Brew Oreo, World's Famous Chocolate, and Jamaica Coffee ice creams. It was politely topped with chocolate syrup, butterscotch, wet nuts, a touch of whipped cream and three wonderful cherries. Not only was I reliving the 1970s but I was given a slice of heaven by a courteous young professional that made the experience worthwhile. The entire crew on tonight was stellar. So everyone, when you want great ice cream come to this location and you'll be treated like royalty.“
