“What can I say about a childhood favorite except its always tasty and brings back memories of piling into the car to go get a weekend treat! I tried the orange/vanilla Creamsicle in a small dish and we also ordered a large vanilla cone. Service was good , just a small language barrier issue until someone else stepped in to help. Place is brightly lit and clean. My suggestion is just bring extra cash! Carvel is now a treat only a few times a year.$$“

“We visit this family favorite ice cream shop every time we are in town! Love their death by chocolate, rum raisin, pistachio, toasted coconut, butter pecan, strawberry and cookie dough flavors! Haven’t tried the other flavors as we already love our picks and every time we go there we want to eat the same flavors! They have tons of flavors. Parking spots and also a nice area to sit and enjoy the ice creams!“

“Can't beat a place that will make an egg sandwich all day. Grabbed a bacon, egg, and cheese and a muffin, both were very good. The muffin was fresh and not dry-always a concern and the BEC had a perfectly cooked egg. The woman at the counter was very pleasant and helpful. They have smoothies on the menu which not many places have available and they are reasonably priced. There are a few tables if you want to eat in the deli. Hopefully you can snag a spot in Main Street to try this at place out on your next trip into town.“
“My husband and I went there for the hot dogs. They are out of this world. Large size great taste. They are so good I ate mine with a little bit of mustard and nothing else. The fries are so good and compliment the hot dogs perfectly. Try not to miss the french fries if you are a fry lover like myself. You can see the food being cooked behind the counter which I personally like. The day we went there were 2 young ladies. One taking the orders and one cooking. They were so efficient and nice. I will drive miles out of my way between family in Westchester to my home in Putnam, just to get a pint to take home and of course a scoop with hot fudge to sit at the tables on the side walk and enjoy. “This place has been here for a while and yet I’m gonna call it a hidden gem! It’s tucked away into a small storefront with another shop and is worth you stopping if you need some cooking off.The big thing here is the homemade frozen custard…making it so much softer, smoother, and creamier than traditional ice cream. All the flavors you expect and a cute outdoor patio with tables and ample seating.They also make great take home desserts like ice cream cakes and pies which are amazing for a party or celebration.“

Not sure how to reply directly, but I hope you end up seeing this anyways, the owner most def didn't charge you 20 Cents for a spoon because you're black, I have got things from here so many times and was never charged for a spoon( I'm also black btw), if what you are saying is true, maybe I t was because you only got ice for a dollar, but who knows, personally I don't buy your story, and the only person who seemed to have made it about race is you, like I said; I've been here countless of times, and they were always nice to me, owners included. And everything is delicious, the ice cream, the paletas, cholados, mangonadas, and hot stuff to, like the tacos are incredible, real authentic to since I believe the owners are of Mexican descent, sure the prices for some things are little more then average, but it's 100% worth it after you've tried it, besides nothings cheap these days. plus everything is made from scratch and in house(store), way better then generic icecream shops and ones youd get in supermarkets. Overall I'm just saying you were def overthinking the who race thing, and highly suggest anyone and everyone go try this place, they'll def have something you'll like“

“Recently discovered this place and are happy they have a vegan offering we like! The bean burger is very tasty, my wife approves, and that says a lot, lol! Unfortunately, on tonight's order, the avocado they used was disappointing--too hard, needed ripening. But the other time it was perfect. The other ingredients, including the bun, are delicious. For what it is and the prices, this place deserves five stars. I cut back to four stars on the food and wrote this review in hopes that management would take notice and solve the avocado ripeness issue.“

The service was FANTASTIC! and we were served by very young girls, so it's not that they were good because of tons of experience.
