“I went here with a group of friends. It is a small intimate bar. They occasionally have a kitchen that serves homemade dishes. Lots of inexpensive bottles of icy cold beers, as well as mixed drinks. There is a pool table and a dart board, music from cd's. I had fun but I knew a lot of people in the bar. Very friendly staff. They also have "guest bartender night". A frequent patron acts like the bartender for the evening.“

We were in town helping another G-FORCE location with an Amazon project, so naturally, we took a break to explore the local food scene. First Impressions: We kicked off with the Deviled Eggs – the jalapeño added a nice little kick while the bacon... well, it was bacon – crispy and delicious. Next up were the House Pickles – sweet, vinegary, and unexpectedly tasty. Who knew pickles could be this good? Now, I’m happy that we can buy as many skewers as we dare (before we pass the threshold of waking up with a sore throat the next morning).This Chinese BBQ skewer cart is a no-frills, mom and pop food stand on the corner of Whitney Ave & Broadway by the LIRR tracks. Most of their skewers cost between $2-$3; they’re perfect for a late night eats adventure! The seasoning the sweet Chinese couple uses has just the right amount of cumin, heat, and spice. We sat at one of their 3 tables this past Monday evening and saw a steady stream of customers lining up for their grilled skewers. “I haven’t eaten at this place in a good 5 years, but the two times I ordered food from there in 2018 and 2019 it was pretty good. The first thing I had from there was a Ribeye and Fries, steak was tender and almost reminded me of the steak you get from Outback and the fries were crispy. The fried chicken while it was a bit light in color was also good. It’s overall a good place if you want to dine in a place with a 1970s vibe, or if you just want to boogie down with local neighborhood folk on Saturday nights. “They are back! after weeks of being closed. The perfect spot for a late night bite in flushing. They have a wide variety of skewers even seafood choices. After one or two skewers you will find yourself hungry for more. The meats are prepared and kept fresh in clean coolers it’s a street cart so they meticulously clean the area making sure their customers are happy. You can sit and eat small chairs and tables are provided.“
