“A great beer hall with a selection of classic food. We love coming here, it’s one of the best places to drink in Astoria. It gets a little hot and crowded in summer, but it’s a delightful visit. When the tap lines are freshly cleaned, they can also put some exceptional beers out - they are one of the few spots with Czechvar in the city. If you have a sporting event you wanna watch or you just wanna hang out with friends, it’s a good shout!“

“What I recommend about said establishment is just about everything for a long time. One new & special edition is a self portrait of one of the owners Zach Mack. Though the man’s name would imply neon electricity it’s much more tame than that. Food for thought it said artist decides to do another.“

“The atmosphere and service were outstanding. We only went for desert and coffee. The chocolate cake was amazing. A couple we vacationed with has eaten dinner there 2 nights before and said how amazing the food was. One of the staff members even gave us a personal tour and history of the building. Will be back to Brooklyn and will definitely come back.“

“Houston Hall was one of the bars I visited during my short stay in New York. It has a llarge beer hall with rustic, cavernous atmosphere, communal long tables, and a good selection of craft beers. The food and beer tasted great. It jas an excellent happy hour, and a lively vibe that's perfect for watching sports or socializing with groups...though the service can be a little bit slow so you have to go to the bar yourself“

“Nice spot but the are very slow with the cuttas and they are good people. For $5 someone order something on my tab and I had already paid all the bills and they asked for it. Felt that was not necessary but I paid it. After spending so much they should have let that slide or reach out to me next time.“

“My burger was juicy and flavorful, the fries were crispy, and the cookies and cream milkshake was rich and delicious. Yemi helped us decide what to order and was so welcoming and helpful, making the experience even better. Great food and even better service — I’ll definitely be back!“

“I had a great time at The Standard Biergarten! The atmosphere is lively and fun — perfect for hanging out with friends or enjoying a casual meal with drinks. I ordered the Cheddar Kurtwurst and the Currywurst, both of which were excellent.

The Cheddar Kurtwurst was juicy and packed with flavor, with just the right amount of melted cheddar inside. The Currywurst had a nice kick to it — spicy, savory, and full of that classic curry flavor. Both came with potato salad on the side, which was creamy and balanced the meats well.

Service was fast even though it was busy, and everything came out hot and fresh. If you’re a fan of German-style sausages and a fun beer garden vibe, I’d definitely recommend stopping by“

“Great spot for dinner, open after midnight. Skewers are all great. Love the scallop appetizer the most though. Chicken skin and beef brisket is a must. The alcoholic drinks are good but the non alcoholic drinks are just ok - watermelon juice was not good in my opinion, so watery and seemed like it had been frozen for a long time. Love coming here and getting a bunch of different skewers!“

I'm pretty sure the Brad Lander for Mayor social event got cancelled today (5/30/25); these things have small turnout, & maybe don't add much to the discussion. I came here anyway to have a refreshing beer in honor of a candidate whose ideas 💡, career, & intestinal fortitude seem to be quite refreshing in American politics. I've definitely never been in this fine bar 🍻 before, & I can't remember the last time I walked on this block. I still think you should rank Lander first 🥇🏆 in the upcoming NYC mayoral primary election (June 24, 2025).“

“The burgers at this place were amazing! but the service really kept me waiting. And the atmosphere was strange every always saluted “The Boss.” Who was a man with an eyepatch and a horn on his head? I don’t know was pretty weird. But the food was amazing so I will definitely be coming back!“

“Been there a few times. I must say food is fantastic!!! The fish tacos and the southwestern chicken sandwich is a must try. They have different specials everyday. Friendly atmosphere, service is very attentive. Love trivia nights and live music on Saturdays. So far is my favorite place to go with friends and family. “This is my favorite spot to hang out at. They do a great job hiring the right staff, and the management does a great job running the place. The food is spectacular. John Ryan is the greatest of all time. I’m normally critical of places, but they’ve made me a regular. Only qualm I have is because I’m there often,that other guests confuse me for security lol.“

“Great place to hang out, they have a nice place ground floor but it’s better to hang out at the rooftop.
Staff were great although they don’t do table service, have to order and get everything at the bar.
And the food menu options are very low,
It would be nice if they had more options to pick from. And prices are pretty low for a nice rooftop bar and restaurant“
