“As a first time customer, I think this beer garden is a great place to come and hang with your friends if you plan on grabbing some drinks. I plan on recommending this place to other friends in the future.

The staff was also very accommodating.

“A great beer hall with a selection of classic food. We love coming here, it’s one of the best places to drink in Astoria. It gets a little hot and crowded in summer, but it’s a delightful visit. When the tap lines are freshly cleaned, they can also put some exceptional beers out - they are one of the few spots with Czechvar in the city. If you have a sporting event you wanna watch or you just wanna hang out with friends, it’s a good shout!“

Though the man’s name would imply neon electricity it’s much more tame than that. Food for thought it said artist decides to do another.“

“The atmosphere and service were outstanding. We only went for desert and coffee. The chocolate cake was amazing. A couple we vacationed with has eaten dinner there 2 nights before and said how amazing the food was. One of the staff members even gave us a personal tour and history of the building. Will be back to Brooklyn and will definitely come back.“

“Houston Hall was one of the bars I visited during my short stay in New York. It has a llarge beer hall with rustic, cavernous atmosphere, communal long tables, and a good selection of craft beers. The food and beer tasted great. It jas an excellent happy hour, and a lively vibe that's perfect for watching sports or socializing with groups...though the service can be a little bit slow so you have to go to the bar yourself“

“I had a great time at The Standard Biergarten! The atmosphere is lively and fun — perfect for hanging out with friends or enjoying a casual meal with drinks. I ordered the Cheddar Kurtwurst and the Currywurst, both of which were excellent.

The Cheddar Kurtwurst was juicy and packed with flavor, with just the right amount of melted cheddar inside. The Currywurst had a nice kick to it — spicy, savory, and full of that classic curry flavor. Both came with potato salad on the side, which was creamy and balanced the meats well.

Service was fast even though it was busy, and everything came out hot and fresh. If you’re a fan of German-style sausages and a fun beer garden vibe, I’d definitely recommend stopping by“

“Highly recommended?Grilled pork sausage, full of oily flavor??The durian pizza is very generous! ?Mutton hotpot. The mutton is really fragrant. It’s the closest to the taste in China. ?The free melon seeds are also delicious, suitable for snacks to kill time after drinking.

The service staff in the store have a very good attitude. Although they are busy, they will respond in time. Highly recommended.“

I'm pretty sure the Brad Lander for Mayor social event got cancelled today (5/30/25); these things have small turnout, & maybe don't add much to the discussion. I came here anyway to have a refreshing beer in honor of a candidate whose ideas 💡, career, & intestinal fortitude seem to be quite refreshing in American politics. I've definitely never been in this fine bar 🍻 before, & I can't remember the last time I walked on this block. I still think you should rank Lander first 🥇🏆 in the upcoming NYC mayoral primary election (June 24, 2025).“

“I love everything about Diamond Dogs and everyone there except for Pat!!! 😭😭😭 i dont know why they put Pat on for weekends now, when Pat gives rude and snarky service, preferential treatment to their friends, and generally has an unpleasant attitude and is always ready to try to make you feel like you’re stupid and annoying for wanting to come to the bar. Pat likes to act like patrons are all immediately stupid and drunk nuisances. Every other bartender has is great/normal and treats patrons with respect and kindness. I tried to avoid DD if I could spot Pat working there, but it’s difficult since they’ve been on weekends there now.“

“Been there a few times. I must say food is fantastic!!! The fish tacos and the southwestern chicken sandwich is a must try. They have different specials everyday. Friendly atmosphere, service is very attentive. Love trivia nights and live music on Saturdays. So far is my favorite place to go with friends and family. Great spot for lunch, dinner and weekend brunch. Highly recommended!!“

“A great place to grab a drink in the summer, especially if you have a group. The bar has a great selection of delicious food and a huge beer and cider menu. The walls open up giving a great atmosphere and access to outdoor seating. Food and drink service are quick and staff are knowledgeable and kind.“

The kids enjoyed coloring/the kids menus, the Cesar salad was amazing as well as the French toast!
