“Don’t be fooled by the smallness of the place. The breakfast sandwiches are some of the tastiest I’ve ever had. I was looking to order a cake for a birthday, and I was impressed by their photos on Instagram as well as the flavor of the slices they had for sale (one of which I received as a gift). I provided a picture of what I wanted and they did not disappoint! Besides looking beautiful, the cake was moist and flavorful, even days later. Highly recommended!“

The cappuccino was a little piece of heaven, the desserts were just a tad sinful, and the whole experience felt like a visit to the Holy Chapel of buttercream and chocolate.

If you find yourself anywhere near Arthur Ave., De Lillo is an essential pilgrimage.

“This Carvel is clean, the service is excellent! We take the kids there several times this summer, the choices for flavors are all delicious and tasty, we tried almost every flavor over the time that we have been going there, but the treat that stands out for me is the Dasher with Heath bar pieces; for my kids, they love Birthday Cake and either Cookie Dough or Cake Mix. Parking is a bummer, but we pull into McDonald's and run over to Carvel, the service is so quick that you are back in no time.“

“Can you consider using actual strawberry puree, or whatever of fresh strawberries on top of your cheesecake? I don't like the artificial strawberry flavor jelly type thing on your cheesecake sold in Bainbridge. Also have bread pudding with and without carmel sauce. Puerto Ricans like myself, and other Hispanics do like with carmel sauce. I don't know who of Mexican background told the woman working there that Hispanic don't like with sauce. Maybe that particular person, or Mexicans but not all Hispanics. Can you also make scones, lobster tail pastry, muffins, stuff you can have for breakfast on the go? The store mostly just has desserts for later in the day(cookies,cakes).“

“I've been coming to this location for year's, and I've experienced it transition from different owners. Thank God this new owner knows what he is doing. I ordered this cake last minute for my Christmas day dinner. I was expecting them to tell me that it was to short notice for them to have it ready by that date since I literally ordered it 4 day's before Christmas. But to my surprise they took my order and had it done on time. It was ready by the time I got there. The cake to say the least was exactly how I wanted it to be and looked stunning and well crafted. And it was nice and moist it tasted like pure vanilla so good and rich.“

“For many years I had Valencia cake in practically every party my parents took me. And of course, my birthday. I had not had Valencia cake in a very long time. But for my 75th Birthday I wanted Valencia. My husband and I travel to the store on Burnside Ave. First I must say the man behind the counter was not very friendly. He sounded like we were boring him. I got a big cake, $40.00. It was not very well decorated but since it was for me, I dismissed it. The cake was super dry. Very little cream in the middle. I wanted pineapple but he did not have it in the size I wanted. The cake tasted like nothing I remember. It had no flavor!! What happened to that delicious, moist, flavorful cake I remember!!! SO SAD!!“
