They always have Latin Salsa live bands, and musicians, playing music in the Orchard beach parking lots, and as you come into the parking lots, you can actually see and hear the salsa musicians and their music going off! Its a great experience! Theres an exeptional timbalero that comes every saturday and sunday, from Boston, Massachusettes, who was actually born and raised in the Bronx, and he gets down on the timbales! His name is Danny! I visited Orchard Beach with confused expectations because of the mixed reviews, but I really don't know what the negative ones were about. I had a lovely time. Even on a Saturday afternoon in July, it wasn't crowded; there were plenty of people enjoying it, but it was nothing like Jones Beach on a Sunday or Coney Island on Labor Day weekend.
