The Eleanor's Bar & Restaurant is a really nice place just steps from the 6 train or a short walk from Pelham Bay Park in The Bronx. The atmosphere is quiet, cozy, welcoming, and elegant. Happy hour wings are very flavorful, and the jollof and stew are amazing, peppery, and full of flavor that builds. The whole fish is crispy, juicy, and seasoned right through. The okra stew is heavy, thick, rich, and full of flavor. Fufu is soft and smooth, and the rice is not dry and actually seasoned. They have Nigerian Guinness for those who like a stronger, brighter take on stouts. Tasty cocktails are available at the bar. The service is extremely exceptional, and the boss is very respectful and cares about the food. The price is low, and the restroom is the best and cleanest. The food, experience, and hospitality are top-notch, making it a spot with real African food done right.
