“We absolutely love Gordy's. It’s hands down our favorite neighborhood sports bar! Heidi, Gordy, and the entire staff always make us feel so welcome and taken care of. Heidi is especially amazing at accommodating our parties, which is a big reason we keep coming back. The food is consistently outstanding. The burgers are truly some of the best in Westchester, the Philly cheesesteaks are incredible, and the homemade cheesecake is the perfect dessert. We’ve referred many of our friends to Gordy’s, and they all say the exact same thing, they love it!

“Went there today for the first time with my wife, I had the 10 West burger, so delicious, cooked perfectly and the burger was huge, just the right number of toppings and the bacon jam hit it out of the park. The sweet potato fries were excellent and enough for two people. The chips that come with the burger were also good. My wife had the regular burger with no cheese and an order of regular fries. She really enjoyed it and said it was cooked perfectly. The staff was friendly, the owner, Mel, greeted us, took our order and chatted with us while our order was being prepared. We were given a little disc that lit up and vibrated when the order was ready to be picked up at the counter. One of the best burgers around! A little pricy, but definitely worth it! “Stopped by Bareburger today and tried the Ultimate Wagyu burger, and wow — it was incredible. The burger was super tasty and juicy, and the fresh brioche bun really set it off. The fries were also on point — perfectly cooked and seasoned just right.

“This is a good chain with consistent Burgers and decent Fries, but the winner is the chicken sandwich and Gluten free fried chicken and collard green wraps.
The shakes are decent but $11 .
No frills decent bar but gluten free buns are little too thick that takes away from the burger..“

“I got chicken over rice for $12 hands down best deal I’ve had in all of NYC as a foodie. It was my first time experiencing halal food so I asked bunch of questions to the guys at the line and they were very chill; they described all the toppings that I pointed to and gave me a GENEROUS PORTION. Chicken was well seasoned and tender, rice was also seasoned and chickpeas and hummus were decently fresh; everything tasted good even on the next day. This fed me for easily two days! It snaps instead of biting into a pillow of heavy dough. the sauce is just right, not tart where you’ll have instant heartburn & not sweet where it tastes like some garbage out of a jar! “I'm so glad I finally decided to come and try this restaurant.
The staff and the owner were the absolute sweetest and kindest, I felt right at home as if they were my uncles and brothers. The owner made me get free rice pudding on the house and I got to try their lentil soup as well, which was very cozy.

The owner let me try the hummus and as someone who is picky about hummus, their's had such a nice zing to it. It was thick and smooth, coated my mouth and gone in seconds.

As for the shawarma, it was amazing. I got the chicken to eat there but got a mixed platter to go. Every single item in the mixed grill was phenomenal. The beef kofta was great too. I loved the char on my chicken shawarma more though. You can't go wrong with any choices here.

The rice needs to have its own paragraph however. The owner asked which rice I would like to try as they have two kinds: Yellow rice or lentil rice. I asked for both and was blown away by both. I could not choose which one was better because both were that amazing.
The salad was great too. Perfect pickles and fresh lettuce.

I will say my only feedback is the food did start tasting a bit too salty as you keep eating. So make sure to have water or a drink to help cut through the build up of saltiness. Or maybe I came on a day where all the food tasted a bit more on the salty side, not sure.

All in all, I'm glad I finally chose to go here. This is a spot that you can never go wrong eating in. It's fantastic and dare I say, the best shawarma and Egyptian food I ever had!“
