Ample Hills definitely has some of the best ice cream NYC has to offer! I do miss when they had more locations because their brownie sundaes are just too good-now I have to trek all the way to Brooklyn (please re-open the Chelsea shop!). You really can't go wrong with any flavor, but the Ooey Gooey and the Munchies are my favorites. Even their brownies and hot fudge are homemade, making for the perfect sundae. Randomly walked in here since I was craving pizza and I'm glad I did!!! It's a cute ice cream shop on the corner and they have a bunch of unique flavors. I was between the butter cake and the banana pudding. I got the banana pudding and it was so good! It's super creamy and tastes exactly like you would imagine. I'll be back for more!

I won't discuss the behind the scened politics and ownership issues that have been going on for years here. I will simply say this has consistently been my absolutely favorite local ice cream company since moving to Brooklyn 5+ years ago. Well thought out flavors never dissapoint. Currently I'm gorging on a pint of brown sugar pecan pie- scrumptious!
