Café Calaca Reviews
Friendly, great coffee, “backyard”.
Great breakfast sandwiches, the best matcha in the neighborhood, and a cute back yard. This would be a 5/5 if it were properly ventilated. There's no exhaust hood over the cook station so the inside is often filled with a thick grease haze. Honestly not sure how it passes inspection.
They have a cute outdoor patio and the coffee is so good. Definitely recommend the Coquito latte! It's not overly sweet and a very thoughtful fusion

Café Calaca offers a variety of delectable dishes, including empanadas and burritos, as well as a range of coffee options, highlighted by a popular rose iced latte. The food is freshly prepared, and the service is friendly and welcoming. This cozy spot is perfect for coffee and a bite to eat, with great coffee and pastries available. The atmosphere is inviting, featuring a charming garden in the back with natural light, making it an ideal place to enjoy an autumn morning. While the music adds to the ambiance, it can be a bit loud for those seeking a quieter environment. Overall, Café Calaca provides great seating, pleasant staff, and a chorizo burrito that many consider one of the best they have ever tasted. Customers praise the excellent coffee, with one reviewer raving about the difficulty in replicating the café's cold brew at home. The patio is a popular spot, and the salsa macha is highly recommended. The beef empanadas and breakfast items have also received positive reviews.
