The shop is a quiet, sunny place to spend an afternoon and the whole cake orders have never disappointed! I’ve gotten 3 birthday cakes from byClio (the first was off Instagram, before they even had a shop) and always look forward to the next year. So happy to see this business thriving. Since discovering JM, I will drive 2 1/2 hours to get a cake for special occasions..I’ve been doing this for 4 years and never disappointed Gorgeous cake designs and exotic fillings - truly appreciated by everyone. Whenever I bring 1 or even 3 cakes (each with a different theme) - the crowd is in awe and the recipients never want to cut it because the cakes are honestly that beautiful and everyone is in awe. “I ordered a tres leche cake everyone loved it even though the name in cake was spelled incorrectly I said Barbara I got BAVARA. My sis still loved it so I was happy. . The only thing I must say the girls that were there are nice but they take a long time to service the customers. I went at 6:15am and had to wait 10 minutes just to get serviced. If they can work on that part great place to go. It smells amazing in there with all the pastries.“

“My opinion is 9.3/10. This is a plov, my first one. Wow was it good the meat was soooo tender. The flavors mixed together so well. Only downside is the rice could be left out making it a little chewy but the meat reintroduced moisture into the rice and was sooooo worth it. “Small café, but very bright, clean, and airy. There was was a small loveseat, a couple barstools, one or two cafe tables with 2 seats, a bench with a cushion and 3 café tables out on the sidewalk. Came in about 1:30pm, and were greeted warmly. Almost all of the pastries were gone, but the cheese with fig danish and the plain croissant they had left were good. We also tried the matcha lemonade, strawberry matcha and a hot black sesame latte. I liked the sesame latte A LOT, the strawberry was good, and I personally hated the lemonade, but that is a personal preference thing. The good thing about it is it isn't too sweet, but it was heavy on the matcha, so it tasted like liquid grass to me. I definitely like nuttier sencha tea better. The prices were average for the area, and since everything is pricey now, it is what it is.

There were other patrons there, busily working and looked like they had been there for quite a while, which tells me it may be a good place to sit and focus for an hour or two.

My party of three sat outside and because it is located in a predominantly residential area, it was a nice place to sit since there aren't tons of pedestrians. There were a few bees/wasps though, so we had to leave after a bit(highly allergic). There were also mosquitos and lantern bugs around--I suspect there is some standing water on a roof nearby.

I will definitely walk over here again to get that sesame latte, and maybe stay and pretend looking productive. But I'll definitely come back.“

“I ordered my wedding cake from this lovely place. It was a delicious experience to say the least. The staff is friendly and the pastry wizard is just that. I gave her a picture that I wish I could up load and not only did she replicate the exact design but the cake itself literally melted on our mouths. It was so light and fluffy my "husband" couldn't wait a year to eat the top. If you live anywhere in Brooklyn and have need of a baker this place is worth the drive. “OMG The cupcakes are to die for. The frosting is amazing as it is not too sweet. The cupcakes are a perfect size, moist and have the delicious fresh homemade taste. I had the vegan chocolate cupcake and it had a delicious chocolate taste and was not that sweet at all. My daughter said it was the best cupcake she had. It was worth every penny and I can not recommend BKLYN Cake Studio enough for its delicious cupcakes. I definitely want to try the chocolate chip cookies with sea salt next.“

“One of the last, real, Family bakeries in the area! A good variety of all the usual suspects and breads, all baked as expected. They maintain the variety I feel by cutting down on specific quantities of each,- a fair tradeoff, so shop early if you have a specific need. I've lived in the area since mid 90s, and watched too many of this type of shop close at an increasing rate, many bought out by chain bakeries that ship product in from miles away. I hopw this one survives.“

“I was very happy with the cake for my son’s 4th birthday! The design came out exactly as I wanted — the attention to detail was perfect. The cake itself was light, fluffy, and not too sweet, which I really appreciated since I don’t usually like sweets, but I truly enjoyed this one.

“Bought a box of their hamantashin at South Jersey Walmart. They make a good product. Actually went back and picked up 6 boxes for other family members. The Scottos cookies that came in for Easter at Walmart looked good great too. $10 for a big box of cookies.“

“This bakery has Dominican cakes available in slices or the whole cake. They do custom orders or you can ask them to decorate one of the cakes they have ready on display if you're short on time. I'm Dominican and I'm very picky about Dominican cake and they did a great job. I also tried the dulce de leche cortado and it was so delicious. The prices are very reasonable.“
