About Kinjo

Kinjo is an omakase restaurant in DUMBO with a stunning, modern, and beautifully designed space. The bar counter is incredibly elegant and creates an intimate dining atmosphere. The service is warm, friendly, and attentive. The omakase stands out with unique flavors, and the spring menu was outstanding, with every course thoughtfully crafted and beautifully presented. The rice in the nigiri has exceptional texture and balance, blending seamlessly with the fish. The fish tastes fresh, and favorites include the o Toro and gindara. Touches of comforting home cooking like curry, congee, and tteokbokki are woven into the dining experience. The cocktails are inventive and delicious, and the lounge space is a pleasure to spend an evening in, with a bar menu where the duck is worth trying. The fall menu did not disappoint, and for only $95pp, it is one of the best meals. The winter menu did not live up to the fall precedent, but the o toro and gindara remained highlights. Kinjo is a true gem with warm hospitality and an epic tailored seasonal omakase menu.

Fresh sushi, d e l i c i o u s miso cod, sexy space, perfect service.

Dining is a ritual, an art and an honor to oneself. It completes the day with elegance, dignity, grace and an enhanced sense of life and the quality of living. I’m a DUMBO pioneer, one of the first to join the six hundred artists who lived here when most feared even to visit. But art survives and transforms all. And even though the now gentrification is both annoying, disturbing and completely mediocre , there are some finer points. One of them are the developed parks which...read full review
