There are several Schreibers in Brooklyn but this is the best one. First of all let’s not lose sight of the fact that this is a Jewish bakery; a rapidly dying breed. And a GOOD Jewish bakery; practically an extinct breed. Challah available Thursday and Friday (before sunset) only. And delicious, mouth watering Challah it is. Do not enter this store hungry. It smells wonderful. The breads and pastries look fantastic. You WILL buy more than you expected to and the chances of you eating it as you leave the store are high. Expect a line in the morning on Friday or before a Jewish holiday, but the line moves very fast.
