the girl who runs the grill is my hero. always has her airpods in, rarely smiles, makes some of the best food i’ve had in brooklyn. i swear she’s a genius or something cause i will always come back here for her
A humble coffee shop at the hook of a block that got me hooked!
The vibe of the neighborhood and the people in September just boost my productivity during my WFC there.
Their coffee was good, a perfect blend of fruity and bold. Their macchiato was served as real macchiato; small glass, tight espresso and little amount of steamed milk.
Did not got to try their foods, maybe later!
Amazing community coffee spot! 🇨🇻

September is a charming corner coffee shop known for its delightful pastries, excellent coffee, and welcoming atmosphere. The matcha latte is a popular choice, and many customers enjoy the good coffee and the quality of the food. It's an ideal spot for working, reading, or socializing, and they host community events. The prices range from $5-6 for pastries and $7-8 for coffees, making it reasonable for visitors. The fresh muffins and lattes are delicious, and customers appreciate the flavorful breakfast sandwiches, like the egg and cheese sandwich and tuna melt.
However, recent reviews mention that some staff members appear tired and unfriendly, which can make guests feel like just a number rather than a valued customer. Although the atmosphere is cozy, improvements in service and cleanliness are needed, as some tables were reported to be dirty and staff were seen chatting instead of tidying up. The shop gets extremely busy, especially in the mornings, with everything made freshly by a dedicated staff member in the open kitchen. While the staff is generally friendly and consistent, some visitors find the lack of warmth off-putting. Overall, September remains a nice spot to visit for good pastries and strong coffee, despite the need for better customer service.
