I like the space and the people. Staff is super nice. However I always find the pizza to be “soggy”. The outer crust is always done well and has a decent crunch but the center of the pizza is like very floppy and soggy, which seems weird considering it’s cooked in a proper pizza oven. Might be from the quality of the cheese?
We had an excellent experience with the food!
No kidding…the pizza is fantastic. My wife and daughter are gluten free, and they both said their pizza was excellent. Just fantastic.

SIMÒ PIZZA is a restaurant with a clean space and super nice, accommodating staff. The pizza has a perfectly chewy, fluffy, light, thin crust, and the Tartufo e porcini is creamy, not salty, just right. The Prosciutto and arugula needed sauce. One reviewer finds the center of the pizza very floppy and soggy while the outer crust is always done well with a decent crunch. The gluten free pizza is hands down the best found in NYC, though not celiac safe. Eating at SIMÒ has become a weekly event for one family, with pizza that is the closest you will get to being in Italy. Toppings are easy to pick, but ordering through the website doesn't work and an Uber Eats order was ignored until pickup. Dine-in service was very good and fast, and the interior is clean with an open concept.
