“Where do I start? The food was on point. The tacos have a hearty feel to them. They dont fall apart and the flavor melts in your mouth. The appetizers are all good. They all pair well with the drink selections. Signature drinks are well curated and thoughtful. The ambiance is bring a friend, a date, some friends and come have a good time. Hospitality is top notch and professional always. I would definitely be back for another night on the town. Thank my cousin for suggesting this place. Cantina 138 needs to be put on the map!

“Tonight in Brooklyn, we did BHI Thursdays and let me tell you, this place gets it.

We showed up at 11pm and they greeted us with a smile and a seat.

We started strong (because that’s how you should always start): short rib dirty fries and pastrami egg rolls. Not appetizers… opening statements. Bold, indulgent, and deeply comforting in the best way.

For mains, we went all in:
the smash burger (simple, honest, executed perfectly),
the pulled short rib sandwich (rich, soulful, slow-cooked love),
and jasmine rice with baby chicken, clean, flavorful, and quietly confident.

Everything hit. No fillers. No regrets.

But here’s the real secret sauce: the vibe. Warm, accommodating, relaxed, and alive. The kind of place where you want to linger, talk, laugh, and order “just one more thing.”

And then there’s Andy. If Andy serves you, consider yourself blessed. Attentive without hovering, warm without trying too hard, and genuinely invested in your experience. Service like that doesn’t just feed you, it hosts you.

Bottom line: BHI Thursdays isn’t just a great kosher spot. It’s a place that understands that food is about connection, atmosphere, and feeling taken care of.

“Drove an hour just to come here for Premier League Morning. The bar was packed, drinks were flowing and the staff was having a grand time with patrons. Ordered the fish and Chips and a Heineken, my buddy got the Full Irish Breakfast, some wings, and a couple beers. The Cod beer batter was fantastic, super crispy fish that melts in your mouth. The buffalo sauce on the wings was also tasty. Prices are great for cash customers as well. My only negative is that when the door keeps opening the place starts FREEZING especially at the bar area but quickly warms up again when closed. Honestly a gem of a sports bar.“

“Drove past this spot around 1:30 am and decided to stop in. Seems like they were closing but they welcomed us in anyways. This place is VIBES OKAY ! we stayed for about an hour. Had a hookah and some margaritas. The hookah was eh but them margaritas was hitting. Ok. Strong drinks. Shoutouts to the bartender. I think the name was Steph. We met the owner and chef. Everyone was super duper nice and the energy was just right. Nice music. You can make requests if you want. I def will return for brunch.“

Sat at the bar for Knicks playoff game to eliminate Cleveland bartenders were friendly while working in a fast pace environment definitely a challenge but they pulled it off it was my first time there and the highlight is probably the wings!! “This is my home away from home. Owners Provi & Oggie are absolutely amazing ! Hospitality on 10000. The bartenders are also amazing every single one of them.Kevin , Ashley , Heaven , Kayla , Angela & i behave there is one more women i can't remember her name or if i ever met her but i don't doubt she isn't amazing like the rest of the staff. “95 south is definitely a spot for vibes AND good food. My husband and I each had a half rack of ribs and it was a huge portion. The food was all very great quality and the bbq was actually finger lickin’ good as we say in the south. I’ve tried all the hipster bbq spots (Morgan’s, Pig Beach, Dinosaur, etc.) none of them were as good as this, like not even comparable.

The music was a little too loud for a Monday night and service was kinda slow but it is somewhere we would come back to for sure.“

“I stopped in to have a couple of drinks prior to going to see the Christmas lights in the neighborhood.

This is such a great little cash only dive bar in Dyker Heights. My bartender (whom I didn't get his name) was fast and friendly. I got a couple of Bloody Mary's as that is one of my main cocktails, and they were very simple and tasted great.

I really liked the vibe of this bar where it wasn't too noisy with loud music. They also have several TVs displayed if you want to watch a game.

The prices for drinks are super cheap as my Bloody Mary's only costs $8. As far as food goes, I believe the only food offering they have is pizza.

Overall, I definitely like this place, and I will most certainly stop in again for a drink or two or three the next time I am in the area.“

“Reserved some tables for a large group over Halloween weekend and could not have had a better experience. All of the staff were so accommodating in helping us reserve our tables & made the whole experience that much more fun & easy. 10/10 all around, loved Mugs before but love even more now!“

“Great bar to watch sports! It’s a standard dive bar. Prices are fine for Brooklyn. Came with friends for the Ohio State championship game. They had a lot of standard bar food. Their waffle fries were good, I’d skip the mozzarella sticks next time. Got some Jello shots at the end :)

“This is a nice little hole in the wall kind of bar. I was craving a burger, so I stopped here for a quick bite and drink. Trust me, the bacon cheeseburger did not disappoint and the fries that come with the burger are the bomb.

I don't understand some of the negative reviews about the service because I thought the service here was really good. The bartender was friendly and attentive and my food came out fast in spite of the place being busy.

Even though the place is small and a tad dark, they have several electronic games along with a dart board to keep the patrons occupied. They have a good sized menu with reasonable pricing and the establishment is clean.

Since I live in the area, I will be sure to stop in again in the near future.“

“I have been here a few times, food is great drinks are priced nicely. I brought my sister and her husband from St. Louis there when they were visiting about a week ago. They were amazed by how hard working the owner of this bar was. I have worked as a bartender for years and I could tell this owner is doing the absolute best he can with all off the curve balls Covid has thrown at him. Covid has been rough for all bar owners but NYC has been hit really really hard. The night we went the owner was there training a brand new bartender and still serving everyone at the packed bar. Everyone trying to get drinks before the 11:00 closing time, per usual complaining that the bartender was new, that nothing was fast enough for them. Also complaining about covid rules that no one can control. Again, as bartender I could see how maxed out the owner was and how hard him and the new bartender were working. People will be impatient and complain about anything, especially now (which is the WORST) God I hate that. This place will definitely continue to get my business again and I will take all of my friends there anytime I can.“

“We can't recommend Salty Dogs party room enough. It's absolutely stunning, spacious, fantastic service, amazing and delicious food (as quoted by my sons for their Communion party the best mozzarella sticks, pizza, chicken fingers and crispiest fries in Brooklyn). It was big enough for all our guests to have room to move around and not feel crowded, the buffet food option is amazing, everyone can have a taste of anything they want and there was almost a never ending amount of food.“

“Well this is it. A bar that checks off all the boxes. Bartender is a cool guy and helped me get the most, out of the drink and food special combos.
The back yard has an enclosed tent (with a fan, heaters and 3 TV's with different sports channels oh each set). I hung out there for the most of my visit. I had the 10 wins ($17), Margarita ($17), Captain Lawrence Kolsch (a local favorite beer pint ($8.00l and a onion and pepper hot dog (comes with small cut fries on the side automatically - at no extra charge). When I ordered the dog it turned out I really didn't need it (the wings were filling enough.
Why did I like this place ?
It comes down to atmosphere and flow. The employees were nice and polite. The back yard was big and was at least the size of the indoor part of the pub.
Menu, atmosphere, size and television (with tv channels requests), all made me be relaxed and happy
Only negative was the one toilet and I had to chase down the bartender to ask for more items and the 8 steps to come/go from the backyard. AGAIN; these are a very, very small issues (about 3% of a 100%). Go see the pub and stretch your legs.
