My favorite place in New York, first thing I ate when I moved to the city 5 years ago and is my go to place ever since.
Stopped by for a quick lunch and we were pleasantly surprised that this small taqueria had such an extensive menu. We ordered 4 tacos (2 bistec, 1 al pastor, 1 carnitas) and 1 sope (lengua (beef tongue).
The tacos were larger than we expected so we were glad that we didn’t order too many. We really enjoyed the homemade tortillas and sauces. The flavors were great and the portion sizes were generous. The seating area right outside this hole in the wall only seats 6 people...read full review

Taqueria Acatlan in Bushwick is a gem for taco lovers. The serving sizes are generous, flavors are excellent, and the extras provided are a pleasant surprise. The staff goes above and beyond - they even helped return a forgotten bag promptly. Don't miss out on the shrimp broth and chili oil. A bit pricier now, but still worth it for a flavorful, hearty burrito.
