I passed by this place at 2PM today on February 27th 2024 and it seems that they have went out of business and the place has "For Rent" sign hanging under the awning/visor.

I ordered dumplings with potatoes, price $10. The fork was greasy, I didn’t even bother using it. Thank you, there is a toilet, but it is so dirty that you can’t help but wonder what’s going on in their kitchen? They only take cash.
Varenichnaya is a small, family-owned Russian restaurant located near Brighton Beach. The menu features traditional dishes such as dumplings with potatoes, chicken Piroshki, Borsch, pelmeni, and vareniki. While the service can be unfriendly, the food is authentic and delicious. Note that the restaurant only takes cash and has a dirty toilet. However, the food is great, and the lemonade and tandyr nan are imported from Russia.
