We were over from London for a long weekend and this looked like a great spot for lunch. It was super easy to get to, in a lovely area by the east river, with friednly service and good food. The carnitas tacos in particular were outstanding, and the cocktails looked absolutely delicious.
We had a great time at Xolo this past Sunday. The lime Margaritas were so well balanced I had two which I never do in the afternoon. My siesta lasted the rest of the day once we got home.We had the Chicken Verde Enchiladas with extra Verde and they were so good. They were prepared with crema, onion and cheese just the way my dear Sophia use to make. The Guacamole was perfect but honestly at $14, they could have given more. Solid Mexican food. For apps, we got the fried goat cheese with honey (standout), chips and guacamole (bad value) and the slow cooked pork app (very tasty). I got the divorced enchiladas for my entree and it was terrific. The horchata mezcal drink was interesting but just not a good combo imo. Will come back and try something else.
