Rose Tavern is a restaurant with a mixed reputation. While the servers are highlighted for their great service, the food received mixed reviews. Some found the food to be good but overpriced, with specific dishes like the charcuterie falling short. Others enjoyed their meals but were disappointed by the lack of sides accompanying entrees, leading to additional costs. The restaurant's atmosphere was praised for its beautiful grounds and space, and many guests enjoyed the view and the exquisite cocktail menu. The food is generally considered delicious, cooked to perfection, and of great quality, making for an extraordinary experience from start to finish. Customers have praised the breakfast options such as eggs Benedict with smoked salmon, yogurt with chia, granola, and berries, as well as pancakes and omelets. Dinner choices like pork chops and lamb chops are also highly recommended. The restaurant tends to be busy, so reservations are advised. The grounds are beautifully decorated, especially in autumn, and the space offers lovely views along with great service. Overall, Rose Tavern is a top-notch dining spot with excellent atmosphere and food, though some aspects like portion sizes and attention to detail could be improved to enhance the experience.
