“Traveling home from a wedding in Columbus OH to home in Maine we pinned the halfway point to stop over. We discovered this gem of a restaurant of MJ's on the Susquehanna River in historic Owego, NY. We dined ohe deck by the river. We ate the butter lettuce pockets of vegetables and a Greek salad. DELICIOUS! Having been so sensible with our vegetarian supper we shared the pan cooked chocolate chip cookie with ice cream and caramel sauce. Great service, decor, funk factor, clean and good. We may live 8 hours away, but this dining experience makes it worth returning for. Plus there are plenty of interesting places to see in this part of NY.“

“I was on my way to visit family , came across your diner . Staff friendly and courteous, and the home fries for me were the best. They brought back memories of the way my mother made them . “My husband and I went to The Cellar on a Saturday evening. We had reservations at 5, but arrived a bit early (4:30) and we're seated promptly. The service was excellent, and we didn't wait long for our food or drinks at all. I had the Seared Ahi Tuna as an appetizer, followed by the Seafood Czarnia - both of which were exceptional. I also had a Lemon Drop Martini and an Aperol Spritz, and they were really good. I will say that I'm glad we went early, as by the time we finished our meal the restaurant was getting very busy. We will definitely be returning often!“
