I made a post not too long ago asking if any bakeries made those gingerbread frosted bars. My mother used to make these growing up and I haven’t had them in years…

Finally made it to east green bush today early enough(they close at 3)

Anyways..
I got 2 of the gingerbread bars, 1 big m&m cookie, and 1 not pictured chocolate covered Oreo

The gingerbread bars are sooooo good. And moist. Wasn’t overly sweet and sorta fugdy type center. 10/10 recommend.

The m&m cookie was purchased for my son . It was huge but still managed to be moist.
Really good- according to him.

And the chocolate coverd Oreo as you can tell was delicious. That’s the first thing he ate( as to why there’s no picture)

Everything was decently priced too.
This was all under $10 and those gingerbread bars are NOT small“

“My partner and I have been to the Aviary many times and we are always excited at the prospect of going again. Last night we had an absolutely lovely day-after-Valentine’s dinner there. Cocktails, appetizers, mains, all fabulous. At first I was disappointed that the fantastic steelhead trout I had there recently wasn’t on the menu, but the short ribs were a terrific alternative. Nick serves a wonderful cocktail and, at this point, he even knows what we like. We enjoyed being in the nest and appreciated that the staff agreed to seat us side-by-side so we both had a view of that beautiful room. Service was excellent, as we have come to expect. No photos, b/c I left my phone at home so as to just be there. Thanks, all.“

From the time we called for a reservation, right through dinner, the entire staff, and especially our server Casey were so welcoming and accommodating. The drinks, food, and service were all superb! Casey made us feel like we were the only thing that mattered in the restaurant, while the kitchen and bar handled some special requests with ease! In a world where the meaning of hospitality seems to have been forgotten by so many, this restaurant still knows what it means, and executes flawlessly. “I was on the hunt for a Garbage Plate in my new home of the Capital Region; this is the only place I could find one on the menu...and I looked all over. I spent way too much time toiling with the prospect of not being impressed by a plate 200+ miles from Rochester. In my head, I said to myself, there are plates in Rochester that don't even impress; why should I give the time of day to someone so far removed? It took me over two years to finally pull trig. In retrospect, I am kicking myself. Portions aside, the plate here is absolutely fantastic, like wtf. The meat sauce seems to keep the obligatory warmth of nutmeg and cinnamon, but has a delicate spice that absolutely delights in its own way. The mac salad lights up my tongue with the zest of celery and the home fries give me the crunch that I deserve. The burgers are the greasy vessel that I have come to expect, but offer much more cohesion than a typical plate. I am barely exaggerating when I say this might be Top 2 plates of my lifetime. Couple that with an awesome atmosphere and an amazing happy hour and you've got gold. Thank you guys for scratching my itch.“

“Food here is always delicious. My favorite is their spicy tuna roll. They have a special for 3 rolls for the price of two on certain days. My wife had the fried rice with chicken which she said was outstanding. My son loves their low mein noodles with chicken. A great selection of drinks and specials as well. We are here at least once a month and will keep coming back

Kid-friendliness: They have a kids menu and we've been bringing our son since he was a newborn and they have always been great. He's 8 now and loves the place like we do.

“Wanted to explore dinner place in Rensselaer, saw this Asian Bistro. They had huge menu, it was exciting but overwhelming at same time. So tried different food, the roll that we order didn’t look really appetizing and also the tum yum soup didn’t taste like Tom yum. However, the Thai basil chicken and salmon carpaccio were really good. I ordered scorpion bowl for drinks, it was large but I enjoyed it. Server was very polite and patience, we liked her. First drink order was taken by 1 server who seem to be in rush, but later another young lady with smiling attitude came and her attitude and service were 5 ⭐️. Again, will be coming back as I live near by and also recommend!“

Trivia every Wednesday and karaoke on Friday are always a blast. All of the bartenders are friendly, helpful, and know their stuff. Great selection of all types of beer, with some canned cocktails, shots, and THC seltzers.

Very friendly atmosphere for hanging with friends, queer and POC friendly business. Music on karaoke nights gets pretty loud though.

Beer can run a bit pricey but they have delicious cheap options too.

They're dog friendly too so you can pet some cute dogs while you're drinking. And the patio is a big plus. Tables and chairs on the sidewalk are great for summer nights.“
