“I went to The Harbor Light with my grandfather who is hard of hearing. I cannot tell you how accommodating the staff was. We originally sat in an area where he was unable to hear well. The owner Bernadette and the server Annie opened up a whole other section in the restaurant for us that was quieter. They were so kind and we enjoyed a lovely lunch. I would definitely recommend this place. They truly care about their patrons. Thank you Harbor Light!“

“My family wanted to try a new place for dinner this weekend and Jamesons was it. The atmosphere is warm and inviting so we felt comfortable the moment we walked in. Our waitress Sarah was great...super friendly and made us feel right at home. We ordered the French Onion soup (excellent) and Pretzel Sticks (ok) as appetizers. The French Onion soup ($12) was very delicious but the pretzel sticks ($12) we probably wouldnt order again. There were 2 Pretzels to the order which my wife and I thought was a little pricey for what they were. My 7 year old ordered the chicken fingers and fries which were better than I had expected them to be. My wife ordered the Fish and Chips ($25) - super tasty, very fresh, and cooked to perfection. I ordered the Reuben ($24) super yummy which was a special for the evening. My wife and I both agreed after sharing that both meals were excellent. Key Lime Pie and a cappuccino finshed us off both of which did not disappoint. Overall, food and presentation were top notch and the service was excellent ---Thanks again Sarah! My wife and I both felt it was a little pricey but we would definitely go back.“

“At first, I really enjoyed this bar upon entering. Soft country music was playing in the background and beers were reasonably priced. I overheard one guy yell that he wanted to hear some Metallica, so I figured I'd play some songs on the jukebox. Well, jukebox ate my money, said it was playing my songs, but nothing! Then, blonde haired bartender (who looked like you had to pay her just to smile) decided to just turn off the music altogether and put on the TVs at full volume for some boring soccer game. I am so tired of bars blasting soccer games rather than music! Therefore, I left. They would have made a lot more money from me if they only kept the music on. I will give it another chance later this summer and hope for a better experience. Please be a dive bar, not a soccer bar!“

“I have been a customer of Austin’s Ale House for many years, I know them well they know me well. This year I decided to give the excellent and highly favored family cooking team a break and had Austin’s Ale House cater our Christmas Dinner. I went with the ham dinner for 10 to feed 7 people🤣. The ordering was done with ease and so was the pick up. The family did a preliminary tasting...... LOVED .IT and whatever we have left after the “taste test” will have to serve as our Christmas Dinner. Since the taste test was so aggressive we may need to supplement what’s left with a few cheese omelets 🤣. We enjoyed it so much there was much talk about it becoming the new family tradition. The owner, Shawn, is friendly, respectful, and knows his stuff. When he took over The Irish Pub, he made it a point to get involved as an active part of the community and create an inclusive atmosphere. This bar and its patrons, especially on karaoke nights (every other Friday) with NV Entertainment, are a lively bunch so you'll be sure to have a good time. It does get crowded at times, especially during karaoke, but that's how you know it's a great place to be!

They have a new menu and I hadn't tried the burgers yet, so I figured I'd give the Bruin Burger a shot. I was having so much fun that I had to save the burger and fries for the next day, so it was wrapped up to go. Even next day, it DID NOT disappoint! Pop it in the air fryer and you're golden. No excuse not to get a good meal from here, even if you don't drink.

Last but not least, Big Los behind the bar is always helpful. Seeing I ordered a few drinks (and I have small hands), he picked them up with ease and brought them all to the table for me. I notice things like that because how many times have you been to a busy bar and the bartender just pours your drinks, takes your money, and you have to figure out how to get them over to your table without spilling? Los took the guesswork out of it. Thank you, Los!

Perhaps these servers are tasked with more than they can handle, but when people dine out, there is an expectation of good, courteous, prompt service. I do not blame the wait staff, as they are just young people trying to earn some extra cash. The fault is with leadership being short sighted with the insufficient staff numbers, especially on a busy night. Come out - talk to the patrons, explain the wait, offer a discount if needed... Anything to prevent a negative review! Food was great - no issues there, but the taste did not erase the feeling about the poor service. I would come back, but please do better.“

“The lost art of the neighborhood bar. A NYC institution. Great juke box, proper pool table, cash only. Everyone knows everyone. Under the LIRR, so Mets games are 10 minutes out. This is the perfect local, and you'll probably find me here if you wander in.“

“This is a long overdue review of a holiday party held at The Clubhouse. Brian was extremely responsive and flexible in working out open bar options and a menu of appetizers and for us. We were a group of around 30 women, so we did not have the place to ourselves completely, but Brain let us have the majority of the room, keeping a few tables closest to the door open for other patrons. It was a Sunday evening, after the brunch crowd, so it was fairly quiet aside from our group. We were able to decorate the tables a bit, but the restaurant was also nicely decorated for the holidays. Brian gave us a very reasonable price and the food was excellent! The bartenders were friendly and kind, and overall, it was a wonderful night. This is the second year in a row we have held our event at The Clubhouse. I highly recommend The Clubhouse if you are looking for a fun, casual gathering spot for a group.“

“July 2024 Edit: The food is always great but can't say the same for the service. However, the service was ON POINT Saturday evening, the 27th. The staff was attentive, and the food came out quick. Granted, the restaurant was very empty with only 2 people at the bar (including me) , but none the less, I was pleasantly surprised! Keep it up, Hangar!

Has good music, food, and drinks but the staff there SUCKSSSSS. There's one bartender that's really good but other than him, they all need to be retrained on professionalism and how to be attentive. Thankfully I don't go often.“
