“Aside from anything else, I like this is one of the few indoor friendly dog options in the area. Most of the time I'm very happy to and even prefer sitting outside but it's nice to have the indoor option in cool, cold or rainy weather. Beers are good (with a huge selection) and there is a food truck permanently on premises that serves some good BBQ. The space is nice and they even have hooks on the tables for the dog leashes so you don't have to tie them up to the chair legs or table column. Little things like this are a nice touch for a dog owner who doesn't like to leave their dogs at home if it isn't absolutely necessary.“

“Went here prior to a concert at Cohoes Music Hall. Service was A+. I ordered a small pizza and it knocked my socks off. One of the best pizzas I've had in a long time! Beer was great too. “I've been coming to Mean Max since the Marie days. When they said they were opening a second location in Troy I was skeptical that they would be able to replicate the special place that is Mean Max. But they managed to out do themselves - starting with a proper, larger, sign. Next they placed this tap room right on Monument Square so there are great restaurants around. The tap room is brighter than Glens Falls on account of windows front and back and has its own vibe...but the beer and great customer service is the same. Well...for the most part. They do have a special lager exclusive to this location (quick tip - look up their Glens Falls venue to see the menu at either location). Staff is always friendly and the beer has great variety - of which they all do well. Definitely a place to stop and visit.“
“Location is a little weird but from there it just gets better. Nice indoor space with open air in the warmer months. Outdoor dog friendly seating area (though it's not covered and exposed to the rain/sun). Fortunately the day we went it stopped raining after we did a hike with the dogs and the bartender offered to set us up a table so we could bring the dogs out of the car. They do offer food and it seems like they might be experimenting a bit with the menu. Tacos were OK. Not bad, but considering we just ate very good authentic Mexican tacos in Clifton Park the day before it might be unfair to judge them. Great selection of beers and looking at the brewers (owners) it seems they have totally different taste and that is why there is such a high-quality offering of vastly different beers. The person I was with ordered opposite spectrum beers as me, so we got a good feel. They also have ciders which is great for your non beer drinking friends/family.“

And the Master Distiller popped into the tour to give some honest info.Would definitely recommend if your looking for a Distillery tour with some of the best small batch Bourbons, Ryes and whiskey. They also had a great vodka and 2 rums,(light and dark) the light was amazing and I cannot wait to try it I a cocktail. Very affordable and you cannot grab a discount on Groupon.“
