“to the people commenting on the lack of ambiance...? i think it is fine. for me the music is "ambient" enough, along with the lovely wall mural, and photos showing what the food is....not to mention the collection of both holly AND "bolly"wood stars and starlets, adorning a back side wall. the dining area is always SPOTLESSLY CLEAN, and the bathroom shines. they keep the prices very reasonable, which is a HUUGE plus for me. the food is always great, fresh, and tasty, not to mention a lot healthier than the traditional american diet. staff is attentive. i never felt they "watch to see how many dishes you take", as someone suggested. they are likely making sure people get FRESH plates with every visit to the steam tables., since this is actually a restaurant/buffet health law...i have never ever, once felt like they wanted to "rush" me out. they are always very welcoming and accommodating.. AWESOME SPOT. thank you, clifton park "shalimar".“

“It was a little louder than other times we have been here, that being due to a tour bus full of what I assumed was a basketball team, and another large party. Our waitress was quick, but she only checked on us twice, and never brought what we asked for. I had the never ending soup/salad, I only got the salad plates and my second dish of soup after another waitress stopped to check on us.“

“The first thing you'll notice when stepping into Taqueria Tren Maya is how pleasant the place is. If you take the time to look up you will be greeted with an absolute jungle of potted plants all of which are thriving! The wall is adorned with their menu and accoutrements galore!

The people are friendly and attentive, and the prices are extremely reasonable. Seating is abundant, I get the feeling that they are normally busier than when I was there.

The menu is what you would expect from a taqueria, however unexpected this far north the food is absolutely authentic. I myself got a barbacoa burrito which was absolutely divine! The burrito came with a hot sauce, I would rank as medium, definitely had some chipotle seasoning to add not just heat but flavor.

I highly recommend this taqueria and will be looking forward to returning now that I know it's here.“

“Swung into Olive Garden with our group for lunch. Most of us had the soup and salad and one chicken Parmesan. The entire staff was super friendly. We were seated quickly, and her food came in a timely manner.

Our waitress was exceptional. Kenzie, I believe her name was. She was great. Fast, efficient, and friendly.

I’m not a regular head of garden by any means but I was very happy with everything.“

“June 23rd 2026: ordered my favorite sandwich again which is the Grilled Chicken & Avo BLT. It was even better the SECOND time! Guys I've had subway for years and this sandwich was the freshest and coldest most delicious Sandwich I ever had from any restaurant. I'm willing to pay a little more to eat here. “This Panera Bread was inside RPI - which made it hard to find as it did not say that on any map. I was with a friend who had a walker, so that was tough for us, but we really wanted to try it out. Two young ladies helped us get into the building, as the doors we tried were locked. The room was cafeteria style and had flags hanging up around above us. The food, as usual at panera, was delicious and good portion. They had a pastry case filled with dessert. I tried the new lemonade and we both had sandwiches that had just been added to the menu. Nice space, we were able to sit and chat without being rushed. I thought the staff was friendly.“

“I came in between 4 and 5pm with my husband. We are frequent visitors of the Latham location. When we were being cashed out, we were abruptly interrupted when a older male (assuming their boss) came from the back and started (quite rudely) yelling at the employees working the front. It was quite unappetizing to see them being spoken to in that manner, especially in front of customers. The friendly employees are one of the main reasons my husband and I favor this location. I am quite surprised they did not quit on the spot. I gave them a sympathetic look before putting money in one of the tip jars.“

“Went in Saturday afternoon with a craving for a soup in a bread bowl. When my food was ready, I was told there was no more bread bowl. As a french canadian not visiting often, I was pissed. I complained to my friend in french about how “hangry” I was already and then complained more. The employee, who I assumed is the manager (I wished I had taken his name!) came over with a bread bowl and said he was very sorry for the situation. He had asked the kitchen if my friend and I were still there. He wanted to offer another soup in a bread bowl. I refused at first but he insisted ai at least take the bread bowl to go. It was such a nice gesture and he had such a good attitude about everything that it just made my day better.

I’m not the kind of person to leave reviews. But I’d like to give props to that guy that made everything better by noticing the little things.“
