“This cool place makes me feel I’m in El Salvador. The music they play overhead, the strong ac as it’s hot and humid outside, the ambience inside, the wide mirror, green color walls, clean wooden benches lining the walls, and their authentic delicious puspusa is excellent. My husband and I just love this place. The guy who served our meal is sensitive or understands that we needed 2 spoons for the soup. Overall, I recommend to try this place and I give 5 stars for making me so welcome and cool and rested. The price is also reasonable.“

Although I ordered takeout this restaurant serves the best chips with guac hands down in all of NYC! the churrasco steak was 4/5 just because I was expecting a different taste but the steak was juicy nevertheless the rice and beans tasted really good. Other reviews are probably fake because my food tasted just fine I have nothing bad to say concerning this resteraunt definitely be ordering delivery again sometime soon“

At first it was a hole in the wall for authentic pupusas, but now they have more delicious options - from breakfast to tortas to burritos + tacos its good all around. No frills, consistent spot. “I have had a CANGREJOFONGO. It is mashed fried green plantain with crab meat. It tasted very well. No other place nearby makes this. It is prepared from scratch. It may take a while. The taste is worth the wait.I have had 3 pupusas with cheese and loroco. The tomatoe sauce has a great taste. The curtido also tastes good.I have also had a beef soup. This is so well cooked. The meat fell off the bone. They offered green hot sauce but it was not needed.I will continue coming here. They also do deliveries.“

“I called in for papusas and got a variety to try! I loved every single one but can highly recommend the papusas with pork and beans; it is definitely my new favorite dish. The wait was about 15 minutes after I called to place my order, which was not bad at all. The owner was very kind and gave us a slice of pizza to try for free, which was good as well. Overall, great experience, and I will be coming back soon!“

The food was out of this world, very authentic, you can tell it’s family owned, family recipe which tells me it’s all made with love.I walked in and was greeted by all of the staff. I already knew I wanted from the hot buffet, but I’m terrible with ordering food in any kind of authentic restaurants because I can’t say anything Spanish. I also was ordering in a confusing way because I just didn’t know how else to say what I wanted but the woman who helped me was fantastic! She was beyond patient with me and laughing and made me feel comfortable and not like the biggest pain in the butt. I did decide to pull out and use google translate because I knew it was me making things sound more complicated. She laughed, and that cleared up everything, and she even used it back to make me feel less silly which was the sweetest thing I’ve ever seen. I actually walked out with the biggest smile on my face because of that woman, she made my day.I’ve worked in the food business for over 20 years and in management and I have to say, you don’t find service like that anywhere anymore. If that was anywhere else I would’ve gotten a lot of attitude and frustration. They make sure everything is fresh. The tomato sauce is nice and thick. The cabbage taste crispy fresh. The restaurant itself is nice inside with lots of seating availability. “Had a 10 hour layover so stopped off here for a late breakfast. I’m glad we did - we only had $20 between us but we split a breakfast meal and a couple of extra papusas. The food was delicious, tasted fresh and filling. I was especially impressed by how well you could eat as a vegetarian here.

We both left feeling satisfied despite only sharing a plate. It’s a shame the place was cash only and we were low only dollars as I really wanted to try their horchata and some of the refrescos in the fridge.

The place is small with only 3 tables but we managed to secure a place and the guy working there was friendly and prompt.

“The best seafood soup I have ever eaten!!! I could not stop raving to my colleagues about this place afterwards. Lots of various seafood items (shrimp, clams, crab, fish) - there was probably 300 g of protein if not 400 g in a delicious broth. Soup came with yellow rice on a side and freshly baked corn tortilla. I have never liked corn tortilla before this one (prefer the ones made from flour). The portion was $20, but it was two lunches for me. It took about 15 minutes to arrive once I placed an order so you need to have at least one hour for this place. I will be going back to try the other menu items.“
