Very nice place and people with very good food!
I recently threw a baby shower at The Prince Tea House in Albany and I was blown away by the food, staff and service we had that day. When I inquired about hosting a party, the manager Yao immediately contacted me back. She was responsive and very kind. She made sure that I knew all of my options and assured me many times that the package I chose would be correct. Hidden gem in albany not a lot of people come across . they have the Best atmosphere, the servers are so sweet and attentive. Definitely coming back here more than once. the food is delicious and the Tea is refreshing and nice

Prince Tea House is a beautiful and elegant restaurant specializing in dessert, coffee, tea, and martinis. The decor is clean, bright, and like an English Country Garden with pastel colors and flowers, offering comfortable, upholstered seating. The atmosphere is fancy and exceptional.
The menu is wonderful, covering both savory and sweet items with a subtle Asian twist. For afternoon tea, guests receive a delicate and tasty array of finger sandwiches, scones, and desserts. The lunch and brunch menu includes items like a crab and avocado salad, smoked salmon Eggs Benedict, a Beef Sukiyaki Sandwich, a California Sandwich, and Japanese octopus balls, or takoyaki. The Beef Sukiyaki Sandwich can be smaller than expected.
The dessert list is huge and artfully presented, with something for everyone. Options include the mixed fruit Mille Cake, Matcha Creme Brûlée, and brown sugar boba crepe cake. The teas are served in individual porcelain pots with candle warmers and delicate teacups. The choice of teas is extensive, with options like lavender oolong, mango, lavender honey, and jasmine, though jasmine can be too heavy for some. Cold boba tea drinks and smoothies are also available. The food and drinks are delicious.
Service experiences vary. It can be thorough, professional, friendly, solicitous, attentive, and kind, with a team approach. However, there have been instances of inattentive service where guests felt ignored and treated differently, leading to long waits. The owner has offered apologies for such experiences. The good outweighs the minor bad. The price is reasonable, though it can be pricey if ordering drinks, a meal, and dessert, but many find it worth it for the experience.
