“This evening we had the best dinner and experience we have ever had at a Red Lobster. First, every single staff member (from the host/hostesses, waitstaff, server (two who brought food to the table) was friendly, helpful, and accommodating. They went out of their way to make us feel "at home". We had a non-traditional dinner... two appetizers (the crab queso and the spicy dragon shrimp), two cocktails (blue margarita and tito's twisted lemonade- both good and we appreciated the extra lime and lemon which we used since we like our drinks a bit tart. All of these were on special since we happened to be there during Happy Hour. Then we shared the Wednesday steak and lobster dinner with special rice and a Caesar salad. And of course the traditional Red Lobster biscuits. EVERYTHING was very good. Biscuits were hot and tasty, salad was fresh with just the right amount of dressing and Parmesan cheese pieces. Both appetizers were excellent.... each with a little kick of their own. Generous pieces of crab in the queso and the shrimp coating and sauce were yummy. The lobster tail was excellent... cooked just right for dipping in the fresh hot butter. Steak was prepared at the temperature requested and was tender. Pat yourselves on the back. It is not often that we give a five star review (BOTH of us agreed this should be the rating)... and it is even more unusual with a chain restaurant.“

“We wanted Thai food when we were in Troy and decided to go to this restaurant because of the good reviews.
We were greeted upon entering and seated right away. We were there for lunch on a weekend and it was not busy at all.

Looks to be a family run business. Service was good with only the lady and her daughter working the front.

We ordered the Thai tea and it was a bit too sweet. The Tom Yum noodle soup was good but also a bit on the sweet side compared to what I've had in other restaurants. But I do like it though. Tastes more like the Vietnamese version.
The chicken curry puffs were good with the sweet and sour dipping sauce. Though a bit pricey with only 3 puffs for $8. Also curry flavor could have been a bit stronger.
We will have to go back to try more off their menu. We would have liked to order the Mango and sticky rice dessert too but we were too full this time.“

“Instead of recommending the restaurant or not I wish I could rate it with stars. I would give a 3.75 the food was the good. The service was good. The atmosphere was good. Nothing was stand out amazing. For the price I would think the entrees would come with a salad or bread for the table but they do not. Drinks of course were expensive as anywhere but I got the smallest pour of wine I’ve probably ever received. We went for a special occasion and I wish we would have went somewhere else. Maybe I’ll try again with friends again for lunch and hope for a better experience.“

Don’t miss scallion pancake, fried pot stickers, chicken satay with peanut sauce, tom kha soup, drunken noodles, basil fried rice ... we were stuffed to the gills, but then we saw the dessert menu. Sticky rice and mango ... and 4 forks please! 🤣 I’m uncomfortably full (my fault) but can’t wait to go back.“

“Wait staff was excellent. Both steaks had to be taken back because they were raw, we asked for medium. when they returned with the steaks they were still not medium but we ate them anyways. The sides were 12 to 15 dollars a piece for about two scoops of food. The macaroni and cheese tasted like it came right out of the box and just had cheese sprinkled on it. There really was no flavor to the steaks. I did get the bernaise sauce which had a flavor of honey mustard, terrible. Fancy place but no quality with food. It took over an hour to get our food and we were there when it opened. We always went to the Barnsider and we wanted to try something new. I would have rather eaten at the Barnsider anyday over this.“

“Sat at the bar and was served by Vinnie. Vinnie was super nice and we had great conversations. Gabriella was also very smiley and friendly (she drinks a lot of water lol [inside joke]). I ordered the veal cordon bleu and my adult son had the lasagna. I’ve been to Italy and this meal was just as good, if not better, than some of the food I ate in Rome, Gaeta or Naples. Parking: There is always parking in this lot as there are other businesses next door that also have spots available. The entire lot is usually only about 30% full.“

We waited for our waitress to return and it was almost 1/2hr. She took our second drink order, and seemed annoyed. At this point, we were very hungry and disappointed-I guess our server had another big table.. I just thought about the customer service of the first waitress. She seemed like she didn’t want to be there. “I decided to Do a YouTube review for this place. Over the years I’ve been told it’s the worse reviewed Chinese spot in Albany. And decided to see for myself. The restaurant itself did not seem dirty. Besides the door and the outside of the garbage. But the floors and tables as well as the back of the house was pretty clean. Rating their cleanliness out of a 5 I give them a 4. I kept it simple by ordering shrimp fried rice and an egg roll. Because how could you mess something so simple up. The food came out within 5-6 min of me ordering. It was piping hot and fresh. I gave the food an overall 10 out of 10. However my daughter gave them at 7 out of 10 because she didn’t think the rice had that much flavor. But she really enjoy the egg roll. I thought the egg roll was pretty big compared to your average egg roll. And noticed they weren’t skimpy on the shrimp. A lot of Chinese joints only put two shrimps per egg roll ours had 4 each. Wasn’t greasy. Nice and crispy. And over all delicious. The server didn’t had us our bag. Seemed a little bit not to friendly. She sat our bag on the other table. And insisted we got it from the other table. Instead of her handing it directly to us. Could also be she is social distancing. But because the food was hot and fresh. And delicious. I can’t complain. If they give that door and trash can a good wipe down. I’d give them 5 stars easily. But because the door and garbage can we’re not to clean, I give them a solid 4 stars.“
