“One of our church members had a wedding reception on Saturday and used Westchester picnic. What a great experience! They arrived on time and brought everything for the lunch. They even provide their own garbage bags and containers. In addition, they take away the garbage. But most of all, the food was delicious! The wedding service was a little late in getting started but they accommodated us by staying later. The servers and staff were amazing. Please don't hesitate to use their service. “I haven’t enjoyed Babe’s in over a decade, but out of all the ribs I’ve ever had my life, Babe’s is in a class of their own.

Hidden in West Haverstraw, this hole in the wall is a true gem. I’m sorry to read that they are temporarily closed, but their St. Louis style ribs are honestly the best I’ve had in my life. The dining area is tiny, but quaint. Supposedly Babe Ruth himself frequented there while the area was still rural. The atmosphere is very friendly and cordial, the owner Jerry being a childhood friend of a former professional acquaintance.

The ribs still linger in my mind for the simplicity, but outright perfection in how they were prepared, cooked, served and tasted. Literally, fall off the bone perfection.

I have long left the area but Babe’s ribs are likely one of the greatest meals you could ever enjoy in Rockland County.

I hope they reopen or the profile is incorrect because Babe’s is a hidden gem!“

“Had my 65th Birthday party back in March in the back room. We had a pianist and wonderful decorations. To say it was fabulous is an understatement. David and Jill looked after every detail. The staff was great and on top of everything. And the food, the food! So good! Every one of our guests went on and on about the whole evening. In fact at least one of our friends is going to book their next birthday there.“

“AMAZING! Customer service and food quality was 5/5 stars!I ordered lunch for my office and each one of us was able to eat a dinner sized portion for under $10 a person! I called and spoke with a really nice gentlemen, who was super nice and helpful when it came to choosing what I wanted to order. I ended up ordering a family combo (beef ribs, pork ribs, and chicken) with rice and beans and a whole chicken with veggies and fries. It fed 7 people with some food still left for another 2 people. “Baileys BBQ is located right of 287 in the town of Blauvelt. Baileys offers outdoor and indoor seating (seasonal) but also they have a pit trailer where you can grab and go. Baileys has a diverse menu with many great sampler options. The Wings are a commonly ordered and very good. The hot wings are large and not over sauced but i believe you can order them that way. We ordered the mozzarella sticks as well which my kids enjoyed. For our entree we ordered the BBQSampler for Two. We selected the brisket, rack of ribs, pulled pork and back back ribs. Everything was fall off the bone! This was a great stop and the service was very good! Definitely a place I would return to in the future! If you are around the area or need a good stop, Baileys is it!“

“Really good food. You get buffet style and then you pay by the weight. But i get to pick from so many Ecuadorean dishes that like. I wish i had a place like this in NYC but definitely recommend for the good food and price. I paid $20 for plate, soup and soda. Too much food had to take it to go.“

“I can't say enough great things about Defiant! Last week we hosted a small wedding reception and it was perfect. We were able to do anything we wanted with the space we had (we didn't rent the entire place, just a few tables). The food was great, as usual! The beers and other drinks were great and the price was so reasonable! We were able to use all the games at the brewery, and we were even able to play Terminator 2 on the projector which was a major bonus. The staff was truly wonderful which made everything even better. The owner, the cook, and the bartender were all so friendly and helpful. I couldn't have asked for a better place to have a casual, and intimate wedding. Thank you guys SO much!“
