“Visited Rick's Club American for a friend's birthday celebration, and I must say the food was good. It was better than I thought it would be. There were a variety of menu options and we tried alot of them. The waitress we had was very attentive to our needs. The place itself had a bar and many drink options, a very relaxed vibe. We tried the calamari, chips and artichoke dip, bbq ribs, bbq chicken, fried chicken wings, bbq chicken wings, cornbread and more. Would recommend and would return.“

“Really good food. You get buffet style and then you pay by the weight. But i get to pick from so many Ecuadorean dishes that like. I wish i had a place like this in NYC but definitely recommend for the good food and price. I paid $20 for plate, soup and soda. Too much food had to take it to go.“

He was very friendly and fun to talk with. The pork belly was incredible, as he suggested. Ribs and pulled pork was good. Mac and cheese was a bit bland. I should have asked for extra sauces.“

“AMAZING! Customer service and food quality was 5/5 stars!I ordered lunch for my office and each one of us was able to eat a dinner sized portion for under $10 a person! I called and spoke with a really nice gentlemen, who was super nice and helpful when it came to choosing what I wanted to order. I ended up ordering a family combo (beef ribs, pork ribs, and chicken) with rice and beans and a whole chicken with veggies and fries. It fed 7 people with some food still left for another 2 people. Everything was freshly prepared and delicious, even though we ordered close to closing—I was working late. Definitely coming back for more soon. “Greeters are kind. Brand new place, clean, corn bread was delicious, so was the yams. Waiter was attentive.Only thing I would say is to not have staff drinking refreshments by the bar. There was a staff member extremely too close to another one, which is inappropriate, personal space is key in the workplace.“

We had four big hungry guys and I wanted to try the then new Home Plate BBQ so naturally I ordered a massive feast. Big Daddy himself hand delivered the food up the hills of Stony Point. As he handed me the big bags, he thanked me and told me how much he valued my order that day because they hadn’t been terribly busy at the time (a few years ago). I never forgot that gesture. Since then I’ve recommended it via word of mouth so many times and I realized I never wrote a review. I’m glad to see this place has become a staple of North Rockland. This place is the real deal.“

They have some creative starters/appetizers like their texas lollipops and their Mac n Cheese egg rolls which were simple but good. “Amazing bbq, cool corner restaurant with southern charm, not a lot of sitting available, however in warmer days they do offer outside sitting. The menu offers great bbq classics such as brisket, pulled pork, bbq wings, ribs etc. We ordered a platter for two that came with an assortment of meats plus 2 delicious sides. I must say please get the corn bread, it was to die for. No full bar menu but they do offer a small assortment of beers and wine. We went on a Sunday and there was a short wait to get a table as the place was filled with large groups mostly families with kids. Parking is a bit of a headache but it’s worth the bit of struggle. Service was excellent, no complaints. Overall it was a great experience, definitely give this place a try.“
