“Truly a hidden gem. Being a native North-forker, this is a great addition to local cuisine. The food, the setting and service are outstanding and worth every penny. Having eaten here several times, every meal (the beef bourgeoned, duck and penne ala vodka) has been outstanding. One note of criticism that hopefully ownership will hear, the menu says "crispy half duck", which one would assume means a "half duck" that includes breast, thigh and leg all in one piece. What I got was two leg quarters, or the back half of the duck leaving me to think the chef was saving the breast meat for something else. While it was delicious, I felt gipped, and if the server had told me "no breast meat" I would have ordered something else. So maybe something to think about for the future........“

“Such a great experience. The owner is charismatic and I believe stopped at every table. I lived in Alaska for 7 years and I've eaten a lot over Halibut. The special was Halibut w/ a champagne caviar sauce and it was in the top two I've had the pleasure to enjoy in the lower 48. The Truffle grilled cheese was awesome. The duck was cooked perfectly. The steak fritz was on point. The soup dujour was cream of cauliflower and was just perfect on the pallet. We will definitely be back for the aged steaks and more.“

“Went on Friday night to celebrate a birthday. Everything was amazing. We had most items on the menu. The starters we had were...Leek and garlic soup - so satisfying!Bread - the baker has perfected the bread. Truly delicious Grilled squid - who knew that squid needed paprika to elevate the taste. It was grilled just right. We added an extra order because it was so goodCaesar salad - how a caesar salad could taste so light and flavorful is beyond me Our mains were.....Strozzapreti - if you like spicy, this is for you. Deep, rich roasted tomato that's heavily spiced and filled with flavorPaccheri - I love maitake mushrooms but wasn't sure if I'd like it with squash. It was a perfect marriage of flavors and textures. If you want something that tastes seasonal, light (ish), with perfectly cooked pasta, this is for youDuck - I've had duck many times but this was so good. The blackberry mostarda with perfectly cooked duck was balanced, nuanced, and seasoned just rightChicken - I never like to order chicken out because I cook it all the time. I will make an exception every time for this dish. Make sure someone in your party orders it. You don't get opportunities to taste chicken like this very often. Steak - ordered medium rare and came medium rare. Like butter. If you're a steak lover, you won't be disappointed We ordered both sides and, for dessert chocolate cake, lemon tart, and affogato. All were spot on. We'll be back before the menu changes to try the few dishes we didn't get to. Service was great as well“

“I can't say enough good things about this place. Picked it at random when the restaurant I was hoping for was closed for the season and so very, very happy it was, or I may never have had the wonderful experience that is the Wine Room, great food/service/atmosphere. Really unique and wonderful.“

“I want to give this place the benefit of the doubt because it is good and we just need some quality places to stick around in Southampton village. It's a cute restaurant. I appreciate their decor. Adorable little swing outside and the interior is very warm and inviting. The food was actually excellent- the gnocchi was fantastic, oysters were fresh. French onion soup was actually sublime - I'd recommend it highly. Only big issue we faced was: we had vegetarians at the table and ordered very specific vegetarian food items but these items came with meat and were then consumed by the veg folks. It feels like there might be an attention to detail issue considering they are new... maybe if you have a life threatening allergy, avoid this and go to a tried and true spot.“
