“Obsessed with updating my reviews lately, so here's another one for you. The Local has my heart and it's been a go to place to take friends and family when their in the area and back on LI. As my friend who I lunched with on Saturday said "it has a Queensy vibe" which it totally does, only you will see by the interior decor, it's proud to be on LI and I'm so happy by that. Custom subway signs referring to LI spots is what provides the decor for this place along with chalkboards showcasing the beer list. These days, when I want a beer, I don't look at the list anymore. I tell the staff what I like (usually something on the citrusy side) and I go with it. This is exactly what I did and our server did not steer us wrong. Do I know what beer I had, no...But was she spot on in her recommendation? Yes, she was! Food menu is always changing here, another thing I love, so that Cuban stuffed pretzel was a pleasant surprise when I saw it featured. We jumped at that. As you know I'm a sucker for a special and a French dip was on their special menu. I went for it and never looked back. The meat was so flavorful and the ratio of meat to cheese was perfect. The bread had the right amount of crunch and I hit it with the Old Bay fries and it's the perfect meal. Their sauces are great too, ask for roasted garlic ourthe chipotle aioli on the side. They pair amazing with any of their fries. This place really does get better each time I go. I always opt for a sandwich/burger but I'm sure anything on this menu is dynamite. Brunch is solid too.“
“We stopped here after taking a course nearby. We're not from the area but we were craving some good Mexican food. This place satisfied that craving more than we could have anticipated. It lacks the distracting bells and whistles that most inauthentic lackluster Mexican joints on Long Island tend to have. The focus here is on the food and the passion behind it comes through in each bite.It's tucked away in the corner of a little shopping mall but dont let its lack of street presence keep you from giving it a shot. The horchata was spot on! Will be stopping here the next time we are in the area for sure.“

“I walked in the door and there was a guy give samples out of shrimp. It takes guts to give out free samples. I have been a chef and I had a job giving out free sample of Alcohol/booze. I took the free sample it was good. I got 1 shrimp taco it was FrEaKiNg AeWsOmE SaUcE ! This place is making great shrimp ! Thanks Man, I will be back to try everything thing else, very soon.“
“Traveling from out of state and was brought to Salsa Salsa and I was AMAZED by my experience! They have an extensive selection of margarita flavors and a fabulous and fresh menu. Our group had ordered a traditional margarita, a black cherry margarita, and their seasonal "shamrock margarita" all of which were delicious and perfectly balanced in flavor. The staff was knowledgeable and a joy to interact with. The owner Chris took the time to chat with us and brought out many hot sauce flavors for us to try and gave us his recommendations. Our server Justin was friendly and attentive. I can tell this is an establishment run with passion and pride... Will definitely return next time I'm in town!“
“Stopped here for a quick bite and a birthday treat, the promo wasn't working so the employee helped comp a queso cup. Unfortunately there was a fire alarm going off from the building next to them which was driving business away but props to their team for still trying their best.“
“I can't tell you how elated I am to have a Cactus Cafe around the corner from me. Discovered them in 2005 when I worked near the Glen Cove location. I'm happy to report the quality is still top notch and everything I've eaten so far has tasted delicious. I was transported back to 2005 today when I had the shrimp burrito. Still the best shrimp burrito I've ever eaten. The corn & chicken chowder is not to be missed along with the Peruvian chicken. Thank you Paul for putting out such a great product and I wish you continued success.“
“This restaurant is similar to a Chipotle or Moe's, as you come in and order at the counter and walk down the showcase choosing what you'd like. It's separated into two different departments. One is Mexican style options (salads, tacos, fajitas, etc...) and the other is frozen yogurt and traditional salads (Greek, Caesar, etc). The restaurant in itself is spacious and clean! And the staff was so helpful, friendly and patient. Here's what we ordered! A chopped Greek salad, a Vegetarian Iguana salad, a Lost Coast sandwich and a Diet Coke. The Greek salad was very large and filled with all different veggies. The dressing, a little too much, but more is better then skimpy. I'd ask for a little less dressing next time. The Iguana salad was filled, tasty, and hit the spot! Both salads came with tortilla chips which were a perfect complement to the salads. Now, the fish sandwich was fair. The fish was cold, not crispy and underwhelming for sure. But, the coleslaw on top was very good. The sodas are refillable which is a plus. Lastly, the prices were fair and decent. Overall, for a taco/salad joint this place holds the 5 stars well.“
“I drive 15 minutes out of my way in both directions to come here. The restaurant has a simple, but clean and friendly atmosphere. The staff is always friendly and the service is on point.I usually get the west islip lion burrito. Its got everything you wouldn't put in your every day burrito, but it hits the spot every time.I also get the meatless nachos which is loaded with toppings. Its almost impossible to get a nacho chip with nothing on it. Their empanadas are delicious as well.Just after writing this review, I noticed there was bacon in the burrito I ordered. I don't eat pork, so I called the restaurant to ask how to handle it since I don't live close. Not only did they make me a new one, but they drove all the way to my house 15 minutes away just to get my order and gave me a piece of tres leches cake. I've never had tres leches cake I've liked, but this cake is delicious.You guys are awesome. Thank you“
“As I was looking for a Moe's to hit on the way home for a to go order. There was one on my right hand side at the stoplight... so convenient hopped right in got my meals left and was home before they were even cold!Vegetarian options: I love their plant based option for protein. Delicious flavor fits in with the toppings perfectly.“

“It was my first time at this Chilis! We went around 10 pm (an hour before closing). It was very clean and had a perfect & comfortable atmosphere. Our waitress was very kind and the food/drinks were delicious! We were feeling guilty for being there right before closing, but she reassured us and we were not rushed at all… Thank you guys!!!!“
“This place is super busy for a reason. The food is outstanding with fresh ingredients and ample portions. Everything we had was phenomenal. The bus boys worked diligently to clear tables. They brought chips and salsa as soon as we sat down and came back to fill out water glasses. We had a new server and she was very sweet. We had two margaritas and while they were delicious, they're not very strong or big for the $15 price tag. The only downside is the noise level. It's very loud inside with the music blasting which makes people talk loudly over it. If that bothers you, go on an off-peak time. Don't skip the restaurant, just go when it won't be as busy. Tables are kind of tight together, so I don't know how a wheelchair user would do here. I am not in a wheelchair, just commenting off my experience. PS, you can order the salsa to bring home and I suggest you do because it is literally the best salsa I've had at any restaurant.Vegetarian options: The menu has V next to itemsDietary restrictions: The menu has GF next to items that can be made gluten free, but at the bottom the menu they clearly say they are not a gluten free restaurant and can't guarantee cross contamination.Parking: The parking right by the restaurant is limited, but just walk a bit down and there are more spots in the free parking lot.Kid-friendliness: I think kids can find anything they'd like on the menu. There are burgers, tacos, quesadillas, etc picky kids may like.Wheelchair accessibility: The restaurant is tight and I don't think a wheelchair would bode well trying to get around.“

“I ordered the Al pastor Mexico taco trio and a couple of beef tacos tonight 12/02/23. The food was delicious!!! The hot sauces both green and red.... delicious!! I ordered for take out and the order was ready quickly. The business is easily recognized as you drive up and passed. The place is clean and has a few tables for sitting down for a meal if you choose. I will certainly order from them again and I would recommend to anyone to give them a try! Well done ?“
