The bar staff was so friendly and the staff was very flexible when we ended up having a higher guest count at our table than expected. Sweet potato rigatoni was so delicious, will absolutely be returning.“

The pad Thai with mock duck was our favorite, the golden bags were also super good. Our waitress never asked if we wanted drinks other than water, we asked. Never asked if we wanted appetizers. The gentleman that ran food seemed to be working very hard, but he brought my husband’s entree out five minutes before mine. No one ever checked in with us. Had to ask for the check. Again, the food was great, and we’d come back again, but wouldn’t make the trip just for it again. As someone in the customer service industry for many years, I get being busy or overwhelmed or whatever, it just wasn’t the best experience.“

“Moonshadow kitchen just brought 6 of us back to the Windmill for the day. Vegan and gluten free - super helpful and easy to trust. The tacos were a party in my mouth.I was so enveloped by the taste. Even better than pictures. All three of my young kids ate the mac n cheese, then I got to play clean up crew on that too. Respect and props to the owner.“

“Our first time staying at the property. Check-in was super easy by text (since card was on file). We stayed in the stand-alone cabins which were awesome since we had a dog with us and planned to leave him in the cabin when we went to dinner, and he whines for a bit when left alone in a new place, so having a stand-alone cabin was helpful to not disturb other guests. The cabins were new, clean, nicely appointed, very comfortable bedding, good WiFi, easy parking right in front of the cabin, a full kitchenette. It was like a real one-bedroom house. Good location close to Watkins Glen and nearby wineries. Staff was very friendly. Will be happy to stay again in the future!“

“Sat on the covered patio with a light rain, So we were hooked early on, although it was still a tough decision, considering the interior was very cozy, and there was a excellent hostess that greeted us on 8/7/26… Cesar was good bang bang shrimp maybe a little over breaded than I would desire, porterhouse had interesting flavor, thinner cut than desired but I’ll give this place five stars thanks to our server Damon… too many young kids, lack personality and engagement but Damon had the perfect amount of tact & engagement and was witty… we are staying at the Watkins Glen Harbor Hotel as well, which is great location, clean nice place expensive but worth it.“
