“We traveled from Maryland to East Aurora to pick up a snowmobile. We arrived early so we found The Poked Yolk. We waited in the parking lot because of traveling arriving before they opened. The whole experience couldn’t have been any better. The host (owner) was super and the food (Lumberjack & almond cranberry pancakes) were probably the best we ever had. Thank you for a great experience“
“Lovely winter day with 60 degree temperatures today and a tax prep appointment behind us. Perfect timing for a lunch at the Iron Kettle! More and more, the Iron Kettle has become our first choice for casual dining. Today was more of the same! Looking beyond the now-familiar breakfast menu to the intriguing lunch menu, I ordered the Breakfast Burger. My sandwich consisted of a black angus burger topped with a fried egg and hollandaise sauce on a grilled Costanzo's bun. The plate included perfectly prepared French fries and dill pickles. I'm sure I will be ordering this again as it was phenomenal in taste and value for the money! My husband ordered the Rachel sandwich which was turkey breast, 1000 dressing, and coleslaw on grilled rye bread with a side of savory zucchini. He raved about this meal on our trip home. The granddaughter had a lovely looking spinach feta omelette with toast and home fries. All perfectly prepared! Another satisfying meal at this locally owned restaurant. I can now say that we've not been disappointed with any of our meals here.“
“My order is unusual to say the least and I understand it can be frustrating for some. The woman today listened and understood exactly what I was saying and made the perfect caramel machiatto for me. She may have thought My request for the decaf in it was weird but she didn't question and did an amazing job. Thank you.“
“I take my 5 yo daughter here often, but usually go drive through. On our recent visit we decided to go inside to eat. My daughter ended up spilling her drink and making a huge mess. There was a gentleman who promptly came over to help clean it up and could not have been more friendly and courteous. 5 stars to that hero.“
“It's alright. The outside looks like a dump. Inside not too much better. Burger, fries, they were good..nothing spectacular (I'd go again, but wouldn't go out of my way) for $25 a burger they should be bigger, bolder, better.. We ordered take out, was on time, they put the LTO on side which is nice. For the price I would rather go to 5 guys. But the taste was good“
“Their service and food continues to be one of the best in WNY! We happily drive about 30 minutes away for their fish fry. Small wait on Fridays of course. Same everywhere for Lent. Cajun fries were a good choice with the fishParking: Very irregular size lot around the outside of the restaurant, tough to park when it's busy“
“Their Zuppa Tuscano soup tastes homemade, and amazing!! The soup is served hot, with a very filling consistency of sausage, potatos, spinach, a few other vegetables. It is a hearty soup that is perfect for a cold day(or any day). I also had a 2X Grilled Cheese with Cheddar and Pepperjack cheeses. It was a warm, cheesy mouthful of delight, with each bite. My husband had the French Onion soup, which he entirely enjoyed, coupled with a roast beef on kimmelweck. The horseradish had a good kick to it, according to my husband, and the sandwich was perfect.“
“Very nice staff was wonderful, they make the best breakfast, I was there for a bridal shower I give them 5 out of 5Parking: There was very nice parking area they also have handicap parking as wellWheelchair accessibility: There is a nice ramp from the parking area“
“Amazing time at DQ. A nice young man, Noah, made my Dairy Queen experience delightful! I wasn’t sure what to pick but he suggested to me his favorite blizzard and it was great. Very satisfied with my experience, and his customer service was top notch!“
“Wow. My coworker knew about my love of French onion soup and insisted I make the trek from the north towns to this place. I can say, there wasn’t much reason for our family to travel to East Aurora after one of fav kids museums moved, but now I have a reason to make the haul! We stopped by here after taking our kid’s to a gym in the area and I’m glad we did. I’d say that this might be my favorite French onion soup on the basis of the rich flavors alone. My wife and I went back and forth comparing it to our number one. I felt this is a little less cheesy than my typical favorite (or maybe it was slightly more cooked than I’m used to) but the flavor of the broth and ingredients are the best. We weren’t ready for dinner so we just ordered the soups and got fries for the kids. My daughter was raving about the fries and the service. She kept saying “we have to come back.” I agree!“
