“This is our go-to for Chinese food on the island. We used to live in the city and this is the closest we've gotten to finding similar food. Great service and great food. We have never had an issue with the food over the years. Lunch specials are a steal honestly, as there aren't many places you can get a full meal (or two honestly) for $7.25.“

“Bird & Bao in Patchogue is hands down one of my favorite places to eat! The food is always consistently amazing & the owner & staff are genuinely some of the nicest people. Every time I walk in, I feel like I’m being taken care of & it keeps me coming back way more often than I’d like to admit (I’m officially addicted).

The Nashville hot chicken bao bun is my go to every single time. Perfectly crispy, spicy, flavorful, & just unreal in that soft bao bun. And the crispy brussel sprouts… honestly, they’re to die for. I could three whole orders by myself without blinking.

If you’re anywhere near Patchogue & haven’t tried Bird & Bao yet, you’re missing out! I recommend it to everyone!!“

“Delicious products and an amazingly thoughtful menu for people with celiac or gluten allergies. I found gluten free gingerbread people for my daughter to decorate at an upcoming holiday party, and a gluten free gingerbread house kit, which I’ve never been able to find before! My daughter was also able to get a toasted buttered bagel for the road, also a first for her! The staff is kind and accommodating. I highly recommend!“

“Breakfast is our favorite meal and we eat out every morning. Due to an early morning doctor appointment, we bumped into Buttermilk’s Kitchen. Great vibe as soon as you walk in….friendly and cheerful staff, nice decor, immediate service. I had the “The ‘Ol Barnyard”…..the sausage gravy was excellent with big chunks of sausage and super flavorful…..probably the best I’ve had here in NY and most of the South!!! The bacon was high quality and very tasty. My perfect over easy eggs were so fresh (yes, I can taste the freshness and quality just by having a bite of the whites!). My husband had a “Create Your Own Omelette” and declared that is was a “work of art” (I was offended because I make a darn good omelette and he never said that to me!) We were concerned about the “hash browns” because that usually means just cubed and fried potatoes, so we were very pleasantly surprised at the delicious shredded and seasoned, crispy but soft hash browns. Our regular coffee was good and hot, and they offer several “craft” coffee options. The Banana Foster French toast looked delectable! The lunch menu looks good, as well. We’ll definitely be back.“

“The litteral only downside is that it's so popular it's a little cramped walking through the front door. And when the worst thing about your restaurant is it's too good that says a lot. The food is delicious and reasonably priced the torta del sol bring a notable stand out. The staff is friendly attentive and personable, and the bread is out of this world. “Went there for the first time. We made reservations and were promptly seated by friendly and polite staff. In spite of being quite crowded and busy, i was surprised it was noticeably quieter than other places we frequent. An enjoyable experience with a wide range of food and prices for every budget. Definitely will add to our “ go to” list. Highly recommend reservations as it is quite popular.“

She gave the best recommendations and the food was unreal. the steak was cooked perfect and the dessert was my absolute favorite. “First time there tonight for a birthday dinner. WOW is an understatement. Sat outside with a beautiful sunset view. We had the short rib special, the sea bass and the swordfish entrees and they were delicious! The mussels in white sauce to start and the (clearly) homemade peanut butter and chocolate & carrot cake desserts were phenomenal. Our favorite if you're wondering where to start are the banana nut bread with chocolate drizzle or the pumpkin pancake with caramel drizzle. For the energy teas there's so many. We really like the Peach Bellini, Maui Sunrise, Autumn Breeze, Apple Cider and the Blackberry Sangria. It's fun to change it up, never boring. We also take advantage of the grab and go protein snacks and banana caramel over night oats with fresh strawberries, blueberries and banana. Everything is well proportioned and we feel great with these healthy choices. We joined the gym and it's a great combo that's really working and helping us!“

“I moved out of the area for a few years and recently moved back. Cornucopia was one of my first stops. I missed the staff and the awesome food they make so much. Chicken Waldorf Salad and a Banana Date Smoothie were of course my first order of business. Both absolute must haves! There was a girl named Tina who used to work there, who made a summer specialty smoothie called Tina Colada. Obviously it had no liquor (☹️), but if you closed your eyes, you’d swear you were sipping it on a beach in Jamaica! It was so good! Wish they’d put it back on the menu. I was sorry to see that Sweet Soul Bakery had closed, because their brownies and homemade soups were to die for. But a new bakery makes a mini vegan coffee cake, mini vegan cheesecake, and mini vegan carrot cake - all very good! The Cole slaw is still awesome, and I highly recommend the Buffalo cauliflower!!!“

“I attended an event Friday night and this place blew me away on so many levels. The food was amazing, but the service was even better. Between Kaitlyn giving me a sample of one of the wines because I told her I was picky about wine and Zack accommodating an absolutely ridiculous request, they were all just amazing people. I’m autistic and I make some ridiculous requests sometimes, but Zack didn’t even bat an eye. I have pet rats and I saw that broccoli rabe was on the menu as a side, so I asked if I could take home like a single piece and he didn’t even blink, he just said to remind him before I left. I will definitely be patronizing them in the future“
