A server brought us a plate of BBQ samples to try. Everything was good. On-street parking available plus a nearby parking ramp (for a fee). The place was noisy but had a great vibe.“

“We went to this wonderful restaurant today for the first time, and it was unbelievably great! The man who waited on us answered all of our questions, the environment is warm and inviting, the service was the best ever, service was great, and we were not hurried in any way. “10/10! I was blown away. Absolutely hands down one of Rochester’s best restaurants. Friendly and quick staff and the food… 🤤 oh the food. The food was DELICIOUS! Cooked to perfection, and as 2 chefs on a date who are highly critical of others cooking, we were BOTH impressed. Atmosphere was warm and inviting, and presentation was impeccable. HIGHLY RECOMMEND! I took some pics & vids and have a smaller social media of 22K that i plan on directing to go to this extremely good restaurant if they are in the Rochester area. The cocktails are presented with class and flare as well. If you’re looking for that perfect place for a romantic date night dinner, business meeting or just a foodie… this is a MUST-GO! “I took my elderly mother here for lunch with my 15 year old because she has been craving Italian and it was close to where my mother lives. We couldn't stop talking about how nice of an atmosphere it was!! There was road and parking lot construction and since we weren't use to the area , we didn't know there was a ramp to help my mother, but every staff member was so courteous and friendly helping my mom and my 15 year old get them both in (while I went to park the car). The excellent customer service didn't stop there......... throughout our meal, water was filled up and they especially made sure my mother was comfortable! We were all also impressed how wonderful the food was! We stopped there on a whim, but you definitely have some new customers!“

“I love the burgers here, and my dining companion raves about the pizza! Today I tried their version of Nashville chicken.

Way too much bun for the chicken, which was tasty but not special in its flavor. Nice and crunchy but bland. No kick at all. Way too many pickles - no problem, just picked a few off and ate a few separately. I usually really like their rosemary garlic fries. Today they were hard, cool and very salty. Surprising because they'd just opened.

Overall the customer service vibe was off today. Our server was excellent, however the way we were received could improve. I had planned to meet someone at 11:30 am. That's when they open, and trust me, not a minute earlier. As a matter of fact, 2 minutes late, with staff making sure to not make eye contact as they prepared. There was no seating outside the main entrance, situated within a mall. It was about to start raining, so it didn't seem wise to sit outside. Tough on those who cannot stand for long periods of time. When the staff finally unlocked the door, they just turned the bolt and walked away. I would've expected them to physically open the door and welcome the small crowd that had gathered.

“The building looks odd. When you enter there is a small vitamin shop before the restaurant section. That being said, all of the food here was tasty. We tried everything on the menu. My favorites in particular were the stew, risotto and the plantains. You really can't go wrong no matter what you choose. Even the hot Chai was super good. This place is totally worth visiting.“

“First time ordering here since we moved to the East side and I have to say it’s the best pizza I’ve had yet! Great for people who like a thinner crust with a healthy amount of sauce. The brick oven crust is SO good. We loved the buffalo chicken pizza, their house wing sauce they use is unique, and it was a nice shake up to traditional buffalo sauce. Also their house red on our pepperoni pizza was fantastic! 😍“

“We love hanging at Living Roots! It’s a must see for wine lovers! The venues are awesome - yes, there are two, the staff friendly and knowledgable, and the wine… DELISH! My current personal fav is White Session Spritz 🥂And don't forget to try the Charcutterie, which is also delish! We love it so much that we’re heading to the beautiful Hammondsport location - which overlooks the LR’s vineyards & beautiful Keuka Lake - in October, for an autumn horseback ride, with a wine chaser!
