“Ate here while visiting family in the area. Service was excellent and the food was great. I ordered the Cajun catfish with Harlem potato salad and coleslaw as my choice of sides. A server brought us a plate of BBQ samples to try. Everything was good. On-street parking available plus a nearby parking ramp (for a fee). The place was noisy but had a great vibe.“

He and some teammates discovered this place and go there for lunch literally every day they have home games. This place is the best-family owned and operated, great food great prices, great service! “I love the burgers here, and my dining companion raves about the pizza! Today I tried their version of Nashville chicken.

Way too much bun for the chicken, which was tasty but not special in its flavor. Nice and crunchy but bland. No kick at all. Way too many pickles - no problem, just picked a few off and ate a few separately. I usually really like their rosemary garlic fries. Today they were hard, cool and very salty. Surprising because they'd just opened.

Overall the customer service vibe was off today. Our server was excellent, however the way we were received could improve. I had planned to meet someone at 11:30 am. That's when they open, and trust me, not a minute earlier. As a matter of fact, 2 minutes late, with staff making sure to not make eye contact as they prepared. There was no seating outside the main entrance, situated within a mall. It was about to start raining, so it didn't seem wise to sit outside. Tough on those who cannot stand for long periods of time. When the staff finally unlocked the door, they just turned the bolt and walked away. I would've expected them to physically open the door and welcome the small crowd that had gathered.

The restaurant is in a in older building and the menus are photocopies of a hand written menu, so it is definitely a hole-in-the-wall kind of place.“

“10/10! I was blown away. Absolutely hands down one of Rochester’s best restaurants. Friendly and quick staff and the food… 🤤 oh the food. The food was DELICIOUS! Cooked to perfection, and as 2 chefs on a date who are highly critical of others cooking, we were BOTH impressed. Atmosphere was warm and inviting, and presentation was impeccable. HIGHLY RECOMMEND! I took some pics & vids and have a smaller social media of 22K that i plan on directing to go to this extremely good restaurant if they are in the Rochester area. The cocktails are presented with class and flare as well. If you’re looking for that perfect place for a romantic date night dinner, business meeting or just a foodie… this is a MUST-GO! Thanks to the amazing chef who was so accommodating! We will definitely be back!“

“We love hanging at Living Roots! It’s a must see for wine lovers! The venues are awesome - yes, there are two, the staff friendly and knowledgable, and the wine… DELISH! My current personal fav is White Session Spritz 🥂And don't forget to try the Charcutterie, which is also delish! We love it so much that we’re heading to the beautiful Hammondsport location - which overlooks the LR’s vineyards & beautiful Keuka Lake - in October, for an autumn horseback ride, with a wine chaser! I can’t wait!

They helped to create signature cocktails for us, and provided extra tables, games, and sound system items free of charge. We brought in all of our own food and decorations and had plenty of time for set up and breakdown. I would highly recommend this event space for your next event - personal or corporate.“

“We went to Murph's with some friends to take advantage of the Coup De Villes band, a local legendary group, abs they didn't disappoint. Great old time music and dancing. Murph's is a fun sports pub with many tv's, plenty of fun noise, abs abeef we were there the crowd was older. The service was good. I would give my fish and chips a 3.5, which isn't available on the rating. Great crust and most fish. Fun server. Crowded and good. We seat in a booth. Much of the crowd was standing. Music is good for dancing, abs there is a small area available. Definitely a pub to experience!!“

“A classic Italian family pizza spot that is clearly doing something right.

I ordered a half cheese, half peppers and onions large pizza for a family birthday and it came out smelling exactly like the pizza my mom used to make when we were kids.

Everyone who works there clearly has decades of history between them, communicating in quick glances, jokes about family members, and sharing a warmth that you can only get in a place that is doing something well. Definitely want to try more of their specialty menu at some point and will be back for more.“

“I had my rehearsal dinner at Hose 22 in the Red Room. My sister handled most of the communication to book the event as I live out of town. She was able to tour the space and get photos and videos of it to share with me. The cost to host a small event of 25 people is reasonable. The food was delicious and there was plenty for all my guests and we did a consumption bar. The bartenders were kind and helpful throughout the night. My guests enjoyed the atmosphere and enjoyed the history of the old firehouse and the aspects of the firehouse that have been kept like the poles. One of my guests has a gluten allergy and they were very accommodating, everything we picked for our menu that was not already Gluten Free was able to be made that way for her. The plate of gluten free mac and cheese they brought out specifically for her was huge! Hose 22 is a great place to host a small event with delicious food!“
