“There are two Chinese food restaurants within walking distance of each other in Manlius. #1 Kitchen, and China Cafe. As someone new to the Manlius area and looking for the best option, I prefer #1 Kitchen. I ordered the same meal from both places; Sesame Chicken, rice, veggie spring roll, and crab Rangoon. #1 Kitchen had better sesame chicken and rice, but China Cafe has better Crab Rangoon and spring rolls. Moving forward, I will definitely be choosing #1 Kitchen!“

“Ordered the sesame chicken with pork fried rice and a fried shrimp egg roll. Service was simple and quick, took about 8 minutes. The food is above average for a Chinese takeout place. You can tell there is a degree of freshness in everything. The sesame chicken was fried perfect with a light crunch but not overpowering in sauce. The chicken itself was juicy and felt like it wasn’t frozen. The sauce also was different than usual, but in a good savory way. The rice by far was my favorite, it wasn’t greasy and had good chunks of pork and egg. It’s not yellow like other places, which I think is a good thing. The shrimp egg roll was the only letdown as I felt it was a bit too greasy but definitely not bad. I travel for work and am from NYC — take my review for what it is.“

“We ordered General Tso’s Chicken, Chicken & Broccoli, Shrimp & Broccoli, Pork Fried Rice, Egg Rolls and Fried Dumplings. Everything was delicious, I’d say one of the top takeout Chinese restaurant in Syracuse. The only thing we didn’t like were the dumplings, we prefer the wonton wraps as opposed to the thick dough, but that’s just personal preference, the flavor and quality were both good. This is our new go to place, thank you for a quality meal!“

“Just stumbled upon this restaurant 25 minutes from my home and I am FLOORED! 100% the BEST Chinese Food I have had since I lived in Tennessee... And I LOVE Asian Cuisine, so I just settle these days but this is THE BEST! Amazing Customer Service, They gave me kids a FREE 2-Liter because there was an extra 4 minute wait... Which we weren't even upset about! They value their customers and clearly take pride in the recipes they prepare! My husband had their Thai food, he said that was amazing too!

“This is the best Chinese in the area! I've tried many many dishes. The only thing I'd caution on is their lemon chicken. The chicken itself was delicious and well portioned, but it didn't come with lemon sauce. It was lime and even had a lime rind in it! So, I would definitely stay clear of that or make sure when ordering that it's definitely lemon and NOT lime! It was so bitter, I couldn't eat it, gross! It was like dunking your chicken into a margarita! Which surprised me, bc everything else is very very good! It's always fast, piping hot, orders are correct, nice ppl, etc.“

“My favorite restaurant in Syracuse! I drive an hr at least 2x a month to get dry pot (pictured is dry pot and mapo tofu). The service is very quick it takes about 10 minutes to get my food. I usually spend about 30 minutes here because it is so quick.

All their food is sooooo good but I’m partial to the dumplings. The wontons in chili oil are my favorite but the pork soup dumplings are bomb too. I literally crave the chili wontons all the time.

“Tight Space there were 12 people in basically a phone booth waiting to order or to pick up food. This is because they closed their dining room after the Pandemic. They have a whole Banquet Hall I've never saw in Use it's been closed for years and now there's a window you order from. GREAT FOOD though.“

“Giving tis place a 5 stars on food for a few reasons. First time trying it out and the boneless spareribs are great. I DO NOT like ginger but tasted it in the pork fried rice and it definitely complimented the ribs. Got the Pu Pu platter and the steak on the stick had a ridiculously great flavor(cooked to Jerky but sooo good!) They used a real peice of steak for it! Not that soggy stuff you hope is beef! All in all a pretty decent spot. Even adjusted the Pu Pu platter because there was something I didn't like on it and they added a similar item already on the platter for me without a surcharge. “Orders on Grubhub and my order came PIPING hot and they included rice and 2 fortune cookies as a little something extra. We’ve ordered their catering before and it was just as delicious. It’s a decent price for that amount of food ($35 for 4 meals worth of sesame chicken and lo mein). They PACKED my lo mein into the container but for $10, I wish there was just a bit more.

“I have been getting takeout from Big Bowl for years. My favorite menu items from them are there handmade steamed dumplings, which are made with a thin dough and the perfect amount of meat and soup juices inside. Their shrimp lo mein has the perfect flavor and isn’t dry like most places. The general Tso is crispy and just the right of sweet and spicy.“

“This is one of my favorite restaurants ever. I have never had a bad meal here. The food is always hot when it gets to you, it's fresh, and the flavors are on point. I adore the staff. They always know my drink, soup, and appetizer order. Most of the time I come in and they bring me the soup and drink within a minute of sitting down. This is the kind of food that is meant to enjoyed in groups and with some beer to aromatize the spices and smoke in the meat. Prioritize the skewers and dry/spicy options on the menu as this place specializes in that. As is traditional in Chinese restaurants, they offer a wide expanse of options that may not reflect their specialty. I hope this place takes off and they can continue to grow/improve their service.
