“We went to hike Kaaterskill and stopped here twice. Not only was the service fast and the food yummy, but they were so hospitable. The first night they helped us get oriented to the village and gave us a run down of what was open/closed/available. The second day, after a couple issues (had some hiking gear stolen), they fed us on the house. It made our day a little bit better and that’s what life is all about. Highly recommend to anyone passing through. These are some good people all around.”

“My sister and I had dinner at Prominence a couple of days ago. What an enjoyable meal! The food was wonderful, with generous portions. I had the swordfish special and the fish was very fresh! The Burrata Mozzerella appetizer was delicious, as were the rice balls. My sister had an appetizer special (fried pork belly) and linguini with a variety of seafood in the sauce- also delicious! The service was great- our waitress was Lydia- very prompt and there when you needed her without hanging over us. We would highly recommend Prominence!”

“I've been to other locations but this one was the best when it comes to atmosphere. I requested to sit by the stream. Listening to the stream and nature while sipping on coffee was memorable. I had ALWAYS loved their food so complaints. I just wished the waiter was checking in. It was hard to get his attention. Ex. He would give water and dissappear or give the bill and dissappear for a long time. I had the egg sandwich and Joe with beef chili soup.”

“Impromptu stop resulted in a new favorite coffee cafe in the mountain top. Tried the maple cinnamon latte and it was delicious. We had to take home some baked goods - shockingly they actually made it back to the house and our family (the cookies were just out the oven!) The atmosphere is charming, with a large covered porch that welcomes dogs, and an expansive inside seating area with refinished historic finishings (look for the beautiful tin plate ceiling tiles). We’ll be back!”

“This French bakery hidden in the heart of Windham NY. The pastries are delicious. We make sure gave we go to the bakery every year when we come up for our family trip. This year we tasted an assortment of cakes, his quiche, donuts and his gluten free cake. You have to try it when you visit Windham mountain.”

only 4 stars because we waited about 20 minutes for 2 cups of coffee 🙃 & it didn’t seem like there was any urgency. we came up from NYC so maybe we’re just used to the hustle there. would skip if you’re on a time crunch.”

“This is my favorite pizza in the United States! The crust is exactly right: not flat and also not deep, and with just the right texture - a tiny bit crisp and also dough-licious, the sauce is distributed the way I love it. The onion, mushroom and green pepper are fresh and not overly-portioned which would make it soggy, but just the perfect amount. I just enjoyed four slices and had to say thank you!”
