“This restaurant was excellent! It’s similar to Chipotle in the sense that you can build your own bowl, but with Indian dishes instead.

I ordered the mixed greens with chicken tikka masala and basmati rice, and everything was incredibly flavorful and fresh. The service was quick and efficient, and the food came out hot and delicious. I also tried the samosas, which were amazing.

Overall, everything tasted fresh and well-made. I’ll definitely be coming back and highly recommend this place!“

“Perfect start to the day! We stayed here 4 or 5 times during our week in NY for breakfast. We tested porridge, acai bowls and smoothies. The "Hell's Kitchen Sink" tastes awesome (with peanut butter and cocoa nips.) The smoothies Boo Berry, Gymbuddy and Energy Boost are each made with almond or coconut milk and protein powder .We loved everything! The service is very friendly and There are only a few seats, so we were there early (about 8 / 9h) and had no problems getting a small table.Now we are back home and miss the delicious bowls!“

Reading the founders story and appreciating the immersive design of the location you can almost feel like you escaped from 2nd avenue off to a warm sunny beach elsewhere. Enjoy surfing the flavors of your bowl, there is no need for sunscreen and you won't need to clean up any sand before you get back home. There is an additional seating space to and a restroom inside. The servings are bigger than your average Asai bowl (may be enough for 2) but the prices are also relatively high.“

“I was originally going to check out Sweetgreens but upon seeing the reviews I decided to pass on it and luckily I passed by Just Salad. I wasn’t looking for something too heavy. Usually not a big salad person but this Balsamic chicken avocado salad changed me. Pretty standard with the romaine lettuce, grilled chicken, avocado and eggs but I really enjoyed how the sauce was not too overpowering and really brought everything together. I got light sauce and I think this was perfect for me. Each ingredient was fresh and delicious. I definitely recommend if you’re too lazy to make dinner and you want something simple and light.“

“I've ordered from many places that make acai or green bowls But this Playa bowl in particular, is by far the best one in brooklyn. They always seem to get it right! I dont live close to this one so most of the time I have to Uber it & when I call, if i have a question they always answer the phone, & they make sure my order is just how I wanted it. Because sometimes the app doesnt show all deals. This place has been titled as a fav for sure!“

“So My coworker and I walked to the establishment today at lunch time after calling in both orders. When we get back to work we realize both orders are mixed up and one order that was supposed to be salmon was not. So I called and spoke to the short brown skin woman and explain. We agreed that my co worker and I would go in on Monday to get our free meals. Well low and behold this woman shows up at my job with both of our orders done correctly!!! Talk about customer service and going above and beyond!! I didn't order anything else as our break was over so seeing her show up for us was amazing!!! I will see her on Monday to give her a tip on top of the hug I gave her. She was in a rush to get back to the store so no time then. “Love Playa Bowls—best açaí bowls hands down!!! They’re hearty and you get a nice size bowl/amount for the price. The options are insane!

My favorite is the power -açaí bowl w/ peanut butter (shown in the picture). My kids love the mucho mango (also in the picture) and the Stupid Cupid (not pictured).

This particular location is a nice size. They have a few tables inside as well as a seating area. There is usually seating outside as well but the entire sidewalk block is under construction at the moment.

I’ve never experienced bad customer service. I’ve dined in, ordered online for pickup, AND I’ve had it delivered before. Always a 10/10!“
