“The lady behind the counter was super nice and excitedly explained Electric Beets's food philosophy to me. I got two containers of peanut stew, one basil biscuit, one apple cinnamon scone, and one chocolate chip cookie. All the food was delicious and left me feeling good afterwards!“

Reading the founders story and appreciating the immersive design of the location you can almost feel like you escaped from 2nd avenue off to a warm sunny beach elsewhere. Enjoy surfing the flavors of your bowl, there is no need for sunscreen and you won't need to clean up any sand before you get back home. There is an additional seating space to and a restroom inside. The servings are bigger than your average Asai bowl (may be enough for 2) but the prices are also relatively high.“

“ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! Service was incredible i walked in while the store had a good amount of people, i saw 2 employees and thought id never get my order. As i order this kind young man helps me decide what bowl i want (he was very generous btw), you can fully optimize yours for your liking. After i finished paying, it was mostly just me there waiting for my food so the young boy says theyll have it out in a couple minutes so a check my phone and then boom order in my face (mind you they were making a lot of orders). I forsure thought it was premade and left out or something but when i tried it it was soooo good the nutella was still gooey and warm while the base was still frozen and refreshing and all the fruits were so fresh! I wish i took a picture cus the presentation was everything but i couldnt help but eat it :( . Nonetheless, Service was amazing, the young boy was really sweet and had a nice white smile, the tall young boy made my bowl with love, and overall my experience was one of the best in all of my fast food experiences. Good food, calm atmosphere, and exactly the kind of place you want inside a store like Saks: clean, polished, and easy.

It feels healthy without tasting like punishment, which is apparently rare now. Great stop if you’re shopping, working nearby, or just need a decent place to sit and eat without dealing with Midtown chaos.

“Love Playa Bowls—best açaí bowls hands down!!! They’re hearty and you get a nice size bowl/amount for the price. The options are insane!

My favorite is the power -açaí bowl w/ peanut butter (shown in the picture). My kids love the mucho mango (also in the picture) and the Stupid Cupid (not pictured).

This particular location is a nice size. They have a few tables inside as well as a seating area. There is usually seating outside as well but the entire sidewalk block is under construction at the moment.

I’ve never experienced bad customer service. I’ve dined in, ordered online for pickup, AND I’ve had it delivered before. Always a 10/10!“

I do agree with some of the other reviewers that stated it is a small amount for the price paid however at this location.
I frequent the Forest Hills location and the bowl and portion is twice the size compared to the one here.“
