“We go to this Applebee's before going to the Islanders games at UBS.
It is decorated with pictures of the local high school and college sports teams as well as pictures of local police and firefighters which I appreciate.
When we go it's usually happy hour and we are able to get happy hour pricing of we sit at a booth in the bar area or at a table in the dining Room.
We have never had a 'bad' server but of course some are better than others.
The food is always consistent and Applebee's always seem to have some some gererous promotion going on to make the meal more affordable.
The food is tasty and the drinks are cold, what more could you ask for.
There is also always a manager visible during our visits.
It can get crowded even at the bar but the crowd seems like all great people who just want to enjoy a beer and a burger etc.”

Kajal, who was serving us, was absolutely amazing. She was polite, attentive, and made sure everything was perfect throughout our visit.

“Pollos a la Brasa is truly one of our favorite places, and it feels like home every time we go. We’ve known the family that owns it for years, and they are some of the kindest, most genuine people you’ll ever meet. Clarabel is so sweet, and her brother is amazing— they always make you feel welcomed and appreciated.

The food is absolutely fantastic and never disappoints. Our go-to orders are the pulled pork, lemon chicken, yellow rice and beans, and the sopa de mariscos (seafood soup), which is always full of flavor and so comforting. Everything is fresh, well-seasoned, and made with love.

It’s more than just a restaurant—it’s a place run by wonderful people who truly care about their customers. We will always continue to support and recommend Pollos a la Brasa to everyone. Highly recommend!”

“Layers Bakeshop is hands down my favorite bakery. The first time I ever had Layers was actually in Pakistan, so it already held a special place for me. Later on, a close friend introduced me to the U.S. locations and fun fact, she and her brother actually own the franchise. They’ve truly done an amazing job with every store so far.

I’ve been to about three Layers locations, and while the Elmont Layers Bakeshop location is the smallest one, it’s also the closest to me, which makes it my go-to. The quality, presentation, and consistency are always on point.

Honestly, I love almost everything from this bakery, but right now my absolute favorite is anything Lotus-flavored you really can’t go wrong with it. The desserts are rich, balanced, and never disappoint.

I also noticed they’ve started making candles, which is such a smart and creative addition to the brand. It just shows how much thought they put into expanding beyond desserts while keeping the same aesthetic and quality.

If you haven’t tried Layers yet, you’re seriously missing out. Highly recommend stopping by especially the Elmont location if you’re nearby.”

“Ilona Lynch Stop 20 Diner is the absolute Best diner! They have the best, fattest anf tastiest burgers, which we had last night. I have been getting great meals from there for years, but last night was the first time I have ordered a burger from there, along with 2 good friends, and the burgers blew us away, along with the fries, being cooked to perfection. We have never had such thick burgers before at any diner ever, and they were so tasty and cooked to perfection. The onion rings were also excellent. A special thank you to the night manager, Manny for your service which went above and beyond! My 2 dear friends who were with me last night when you brought us our burgers also love the Food at Stop 20, and we send much appreciation and respect for your treatment of us, and the high quality of our meals! At the same time, another person just remove a pie from the oven so I asked for a fresh slice instead. The server was very understanding and happly gave me a fresh slice. I appreciated he even told me to enjoy the slice. That slice may have been the best slice I ever had. It reminded me of and tasted just like the 1st slice of pizza I ever had.
