One of the very few delis in the valley where you actually feel you are getting what you paid for. They remember orders and things thier customers might not normally get. “This weekend was my first time visiting New Paltz and my girlfriend and I stopped by this place as soon as we saw pickles (I love pickled food) I bought a pineapple habanero hot sauce and a jar of their dill pickles with garlic. The hot sauce was absolutely fantastic, very spicy just as the owner warned me, but delicious and the pickles were so acidic and tart yet sweet and savory. They have lots of things like pickled jalapenos, different home made juices and mixes and a lot of sandwiches, Frank's is a must stop for anyone who likes pickled foods with good sandwiches with great sauces.“

“Came here from Chicago, so used to italian deli type places. This was sooo good. We came during a big rush, so it was really busy and crowded. But we only had to wait like 10 mins. The guy working (I'm assuming the owner or manager- he seemed to know everyone) was very apologetic and kept checking on us.
Now for the food. Oh lawd this food was good. I got the pesto caprese and it did not disappoint. They did not skimp on ingredients and the portions were huge. So delicious. I can't wait to try again when we visit again.“

As someone that has to eat gluten free when I order my sandwiches here and they ask “separate knife and cutting board?” Just shows how much care they put into making gluten free sandwiches. No other deli in the area asks that. I will always recommend them.“

“This past weekend we had our son’s birthday catered by Salamone's Italian Foods. The food was delicious and the price was even better. We ordered a 1/2 tray of chicken francese, penne alla vodka, sausage and peppers and a tossed salad. The chicken francese was thin and tender and the francese sauce was a perfect lemony, velvet consistency. Penevodka was so delicious it was a traditional vodka sauce that had an amazing flavor with little pieces of pancetta. Sausage and peppers were out of this world. The peppers and onions were fresh and not over cooked. The sausage had a mild/heat and was also very tender. Lastly the toss salad was fresh and beautifully made with cucumbers, fresh romaine lettuce, peppers and homemade croutons. Communication was a breeze, Annie is fabulous and gets back to you right away. She even delivered the food to our house! We will definitely be ordering with them again!!“

“Been stopping in lately for my new job in Milton. This deli is very clean (like squeaky clean!) and the workers in there have been very friendly and cheerful every time I've come in. It's usually the same woman and man that I see working here, and I recently learned that the man, Mike, is the owner. He told me he's been doing this for 40 years and I'm pretty sure he said at this same location on 9W! The sandwiches I've picked up for lunch have been great, meaning the taste is really good and they are not skimpy on the contents. Once I stopped in on a work night and got 2 dozen wings for $16 bucks which is a really good deal these days and the wings were excellent. Crispy and meaty - just how I like them!“

“I have never stepped foot in home plate deli, but knew I needed to order catering for a large event that I had and I wanted to get a 10 foot sub ASAP.

I went through Google reviews and called the top. Reviewed places. I had a good feeling about home plate deli and i’m glad I trusted my gut.

I just picked up one; 6-foot sub and one; 3 foot sub. They were absolutely beautiful. I was greeted by the owner and the chef and they both were so lovely and welcoming.

There was a small communication error in which they handled it with professionalism and thinking about me as a customer first.

I will absolutely be ordering from them in the future, not only because of the customer service, but also because of the presentation of this incredible sub.

East access to Poughkeepsie Business District and thoroughfares servicing the city; transportation depot, train station, transportation hubs. This quaint space is a prime spot for snacks, sandwiches, refreshments, uhaul services, western union and cell phone services for accepting payments nationally as well as internationally. “My hubby is from NY but I'm from the South. We stopped by to get lunch after family suggested it. OMG!!!! The best sub I've ever tasted. I got The Big and he got The Godfather. Can't wait to visit again. Not only was the food awesome but the staff were friendly and prices reasonable :)“

“We stop in at Gary's Dairy and Deli every time after we deliver trucks to NYS DOT in Poughkeepsie.
They make a huge sandwich the way we want them. They have a great variety of sandwiches on their board. The prices I think are reasonable for the size and quality of sandwiches. They carry other items such as beer, soda, chips etc that a small store may carry.
They do not accept credit cards but do have an ATM on site inside.
They do not have any seating inside and have only one picnic table outside. Also there are no public bathrooms.
I would recommend this place to anyone that wants a quality sandwich that will fill them up.
They also do sub rolls and hamburgers or egg sandwiches.“

“Today for my lunch break I tried a sandwich from here. I do not remember the name, but it came with grilled chicken, roasted peppers, provolone cheese, pesto mayo, and mixed greens. Hands down the best sandwich I’ve ever had since moving from NYC. I also tried the home made blueberry bread which was great. I definitely plan to go back to try the salads and other sandwiches. As far as the price, given the sandwich I feel like it was priced accordingly.“
