“If cocktail magic had a home address, it would be The Craft 836, where the bartender wasn’t just a drink-slinger—oh no—this professional mixology wizard seemed to craft beverages with the finesse of someone who may or may not have trained with celestial beings. Every glass that left the bar glowed with the promise of happiness, good decisions, and possibly better posture. And then… the Craft and Jamaican dry rub chicken wings. Scrumptious doesn’t even begin to describe them. These wings strutted onto the table like they knew they were the star of the show—juicy, spicy, and seasoned so perfectly you’d swear they had their own PR team. Meanwhile, everything coming out of the kitchen looked so jaw-droppingly delicious it made me question every life choice that led me to not ordering that, that, and definitely that. Even the ordering app was a delight. A simple QR scan and—voilà!—this sixty-something woman was tapping, selecting, and paying with the grace of a digital native. No confusion. No panic. No accidentally ordering seventeen sides of fries. (Though honestly, that might not have been the worst fate.) Kudos to the staff and management—this place runs like a well–garlic-oiled machine: smooth, flavorful, and leaving you wanting more. Five stars, a happy belly, and a newfound confidence in QR codes. “The food was absolutely amazing and the atmosphere was great—such a nice place to enjoy a meal. Unfortunately, the service was just mediocre and didn’t match the quality of everything else. With better service, this would easily be a 10/10 experience. Still definitely worth visiting for the food alone!“

“I was a little disappointed with last night's visit (2/3/24), which is truly a first. We arrived shortly after 5:00 pm. When my wife ordered the steak sandwich she was informed that they were out of that, so she changed her order to the Reuben. I then ordered the roast pork. Five minutes later our server returned and informed me that they were out of the roast pork as well. A restaurant shouldn't be out of 2 menu items at 5:15 pm - that's a problem. That said, the food we received was delicious and our server was excellent. I've never had a bad meal or poor service here and probably never will - I will definitely be back and I can still recommend the Crystal without reservation.“

“Just tried Friede’s Diner in Watertown today and WOW. The eggs were perfect dippy eggs, the bacon was cooked to perfection, and the homemade Italian bread was absolutely top tier. The sausage links were to die for. Everything came out hot, fresh, and full of flavor. On top of that, the staff was amazing and made the whole experience even better. “Had some gift cards that I had for a year. They were still good so I got dinners for my husband and me. I sat at the bar and let the person who worked there that I want to use them. Had a beer while I was looking over the menu. My husband was not with me so I was texting with him to find out what he wanted. Once and had decided my order was taken, and I just waited for my order. “I hosted a surprise engagement party this last Saturday at 1812 on the River. Everything from the food, service and atmosphere were incredible. Michelle and her staff were phenomenal. The bartenders who worked the party for us on the 3rd floor were very attentive, friendly and accommodating! We had a variety of pizzas and appetizer dips and they were amazing - guests were very impressed. Highly recommend this venue for any party!“
