“Can't even front . It might not be Greek run anymore however the gyro was still banging. She didn't have change and the credit card machine was broken, unprofessional but she offered me the entire meal for free. So I just got change next door. Not everything in life has to have a complaint, especially if they try to better the situation.“
“Went to Blue Waters on a Saturday night. Definitely suggest making a reservation which we had because it is tight but cozy. Food was delicious. We had the Greek salad, branzino and salmon. baklava for dessert. Drinks were yummy too! Only negative was music a little too loud.“
“I ordered food for a party to take out and got excellent advice about amounts. Not too much, but plenty. And it was so good! I ordered lamb gyro, chicken souvlaki, spanakopita, grilled vegetables, falafel, lemon potatoes, and a tray of Greek salad. Everyone was so happy with the food. And the staff are so nice, and go above and beyond. This is my new favorite Greek spot. It should be yours too.Vegetarian options: I think a vegetarian would be happy here.Dietary restrictions: My party had vegans, vegetarians, omnivores, and food allergies. Everything was separated as I asked.Parking: There’s 4-6 spots behind the restaurant and you can also park on the street.“
“Walked passed and didn't realize it was a restaurant until we decided to back track. the restaurant is small but very clean and the staff was very welcoming. The food was amazing. Calamari. skirt steak. garlic shrimp and a gyro type platter..nothing was over salted you could taste everything..truly happy we double backed. Can't wait to bring everyone back.“
“The owner is all about and very engaging. You see him in the kitchen behind the counter, mtg. guests and outside with the public. Parea is su h an appropriate name for this eatery.Kid-friendliness: Always welcomedWheelchair accessibility: Sidewalk wheelin“
“Great place! Food is amazing! Best gyros ever!! Service is nice, staff is friendly, very clean! Been coming here for years and will continue. Highly recommend.... thanks for making customers feel at home! Especially Edmond.....That's how you know it's family operated ! Your gyro fans Jimmy and Dina, dine in and take out both were great experiencesVegetarian options: They have many rice and veggie platters, pasta, falafals“
“No nonsense Greek food mostly for takeout although there are a few tables to eat in. The chicken souvlaki is good but the homemade chicken gyro is even better. They don't always have it available though. Reasonably priced and they usually prepare orders quickly. Always a good choice for Greek in Merrick or nearby towns.“
“For me, consistency is a major factor when it comes to choosing where to eat. Gyrolicious is consistently serving up some of the best Greek food I've had outside of Astoria, and the staff is always very welcoming. The portions are very generous, and never lack in flavor. You can tell they really take pride in serving their customers and the quality of the food they put out. Absolutely recommend!“
“Pretty decent location and a good Gyro platter. I went there because I was waiting for my appointment at the barbershop and I’m glad that I drop by. I was hungry and I chose the Gyro platter which is normally my favorite. They did a decent job give me a salad with it, which I think was part of the lunch special service was good and the food was deliciousVegetarian options: YesDietary restrictions: No gluten-freeParking: YesKid-friendliness: YesWheelchair accessibility: Yes“
“I came here quickly for a lunch break and the food was fresh and came quickly. Tasted great and the staff were so friendly and helpful. I loved the cozy feel inside the restaurant too. I wish I lived closer so I can come more often. Thanks again!“
“Went here for lunch w friends. The place is small but hopping. Lots of people Picking up. We opted to eat in. Wait staff was knowledgeable about the menu and made good suggestions. We shared saganiki (a melted cheese and grilled tomato dish) it was warm and flavorful. It had warm feta w tomato on top w melted Greek cheese. Came w pita a good start to share. I had octopus well cooked and lots of flavor it came w onion and green peppers under it. My friends did salads one w gyro meat and they took off what she didn't like and add more of what she liked. My other friend had salad w souvlaki she like the marinade meat but the chunks need to be cut smaller for her. She like the tzatziki sauce. One friend order for her husband to take home and rice pudding. She said he loved his dish and the rice pudding was good tasting. They don't make ice tea but do have refillable soda. So all good. Portion due was enough to take extra home for another day.“
“Hard to find good Greek food and this is my go-to place. There's a reason they're busy, probably the most consistent place of it's kind. I've had almost everything on the menu and you can't go wrong. Limited seating and call ahead to order, they are a busy place.“
“This was my first time at the restaurant with my friend. We were looking for a healthy spot to eat and this hit the mark.I ordered a "build your own bowl" with grilled veggies and lemon potatos as a base. You get to pick two meat options, or an extra amount of one meat. I got chicken souvlaki. I added lettuce, tomato, peppers, kalamata olives, hummus and spicy tzaziki. The veggies were fresh, the potatos were cooked perfectly with delicious lemon flavor, the chicken was juicy and seasoned well. The service was friendly and helpful. They asked how everything was after we ate.The restaurant felt lit up, modern and welcoming. I'll definitely be back to eat there soon.Vegetarian options: You can make a variety of vegetarian salads, bowls and pita dishes with the ingredients available“
“The restaurant is in a low traffic area and seems to do decent with takeout. I haven't seen anyone sit down yet each time I went. Restaurant looks pretty clean and full of space. The folk working here are pretty nice. Portion sizes are either lunch or dinner size for your platters. Even the lunch size is a good size portion enough for one person. The dinner size is enough for two people. When we ordered the lunch size for gyro, we had a choice of either a salad or a soup for the first side which is separate from the gyro and there is a second side that goes along with the gyro, so you can pick one of the following fries, rice, lemon potatoes or grilled vegetables. The container is filled about 80% full with grilled pita. When we ordered the dinner size for gyro, its the same as lunch but you can pick two of the sides that go along the gyro. This is effectively filling your container all the way to the top at 100% filled with grilled pita. Recently it appears they increased this to up to three sides, but I imagine they will just reduce the portion size of each side if you pick three but would still fill the container full. The Greek salad is good and the soups we tried were also good. The gyros and chicken souvlaki were on point.“
“Really good whole, fresh fish!! I always get the whole branzino and it is soo delicious. My husband gets the flounder or lamb shanks and loves both. Just had Red Snapper Santorini and it was great. All meals are served with a family style Greek Salad and Pita Bread.“
“One of the best Greek restaurants around. There are a couple tables inside and you can also take out which we do often. The food is always delicious and fresh. Everything from the gyro, chicken, the fries, the Tzatziki, heck even the dressing on the salad is good. It’s always consistent and the portions are very generous. Highly recommend!“
“I live in Brooklyn, NY. However, periodically I will drive 55 minutes just to eat at Nautilus Diner. The food is always delicious, and the service is great. The apple crumb cheesecake is an absolute must. I always feel right at home whenever I'm there.“
“I love Athena Greek Restaurant in Amityville. I haven't found a Greek restaurant I like better in the area. I don't want to name the places I think are awful because I don't give bad reviews. I realize how it can have a negative effect on a business. If I don't like it I just don't go back. The food is amazing. The Spanakopita is excellent. I get the Chicken in an orange ginger sauce or the berry sauce. I have become a regular patron and I will continue to come once a week. They do great take out as well. The service is great you will not be disappointed.“
“A gem! This casual Greek restaurant fully delivered in flavors and service. We ordered the grilled calamari, chicken kabob dinner, chicken souvlaki sandwich, lemon chicken soup, Greek fries, and a side of sautéed spinach. Every item was fresh and flavored perfectly. Our waitress was delightful We will all be returning soon, and are looking forward to trying the daily specials“
“Since we went on Easter Sunday we expected a mediocre dining experience ourselves was THE BEST in a long time. The service was exceptional. We were 7 of us. We had lamb chops to Bronzino to sesame tuna to filet minion skewers to a burger. Everything was so delicious prepared to perfection. We will be returning and recommend this restaurant to everyone. The manager Nikko oversaw a wonderful dining experience..... Thank you“
“Amazing restaurant whether it's with friends or family! One of my best friends from college raved about this restaurant and it's easily a hidden gem! You wouldn't normally expect to have a Greek-Mexican fusion restaurant but this one is amazing! I highly recommend getting their stuffed poblano peppers (stuffed with Cauliflower as I'm vegetarian) - 11/10! They even have mocktails and I recommend the mango mule - which I absolutely loved! Will definitely be back here, but given today was Saturday, the restaurant was busy so you couldn't hear the conversation, but food and service are top notch! Also...Food Network...get here ASAP!“
