We don’t usually buy pastries from bakeries, but this is the one place we gladly make an exception for. Whenever we’re in New York, we make a special trip just to stop by this bakery. It’s absolutely worth the detour every time. Everything we’ve tried has been fresh, delicious, and not overly sweet.

I almost want to gatekeep this shop because it’s so friggin good!! But I want to see it thrive and stay open forever. Besides making the best bolo breads outside of E Asia, their sponge cake is my favorite - these perfect pillowy clouds always hit the spot. Other favorites: roll cakes (especially the black tea one), pork floss buns, egg tarts. Oh and their savory Taiwanese snacks are awesome.
