“Located in Tangram mall, this Matcha Cafe Maiko location is a great stop for a sweet treat. They have a couple kiosks where you can order at, and service is relatively quick considering how popular it can get.

They have a variety of matcha and other Asian drinks and cold desserts. Every month, they also have specialty flavors. When I went, I got their matcha and lychee parfait while my friend got their matcha soft serve. The parfait had so many different kinds of toppings and the portion was generous. Love their soft serve and I will definitely be coming back. (Their quality is also pretty consistent across locations!)“

“A hidden gem in Flushing! Stopped by this cute little cafe tucked away behind some residential apartments nearly everyday on my last trip to NYC. They offer a great selection of coffee and matcha drinks. I personally loved their iced matcha Genmaicha and their spicy tuna and salmon teriyaki onigiri. The Matcha Genmaicha is my ideal morning tea, pure green in color and no additives. Onigiri’s are priced at 3.99 each and tasted very fresh. The decor is lovely inside but there is hardly any space to sit down. Service here is very fast and friendly. They also offer a punch card for returning customers.“

So happy it’s just around the corner from me ☺️. The bartenders are amazing, Jessica is such a sweetheart and makes the absolute best drinks. The owner is super cool and really sets the tone for the great vibes here.
The cook always puts out delicious finger foods which are perfect for snacking while drinking. I especially love when they do karaoke nights and bring in live bands, it’s always a fun time. And when DJ Sound Nice plays there, he always has the place rocking with all types of music.

“You can taste freshly baked walnut cookies at Cocohodo, and they are so delicious!! The atmosphere is cozy and cute, and the coffee is delicious!!“

“At almost more than half the cafes I’ve visited, I usually order matcha and the matcha ends up tasting just like sugary milk. However, here you definitely wouldn’t regret getting matcha, it was delicious. The coffee too is amazing. The owner is super sweet making the cafe even more enjoyable to be at. Also, there’s free wifi so it’s a great place to study or get some work done as well. Overall a great cafe and strongly recommend checking it out!“

“One of the few places I drink the drop coffee. Of course, I only drink black. Is it that much better than my Ethiopian stainless steel drop? Could be. Except that sometimes the coffee is not that fresh, especially in the late afternoon. Still drinkable.“
