“We ordered an extraordinary three-layer birthday cake for 50+ guests from J’s confections last month for my younger daughter’s first birthday. It looks so beautiful and has three layers of different flavors. Each layer has indescribable surprises. The first layer - matcha and strawberry, the freshness of the strawberries brings out the aroma of matcha; the second layer- black sesame coconut jelly, the mellowness of coconut jelly brings out the richness of black sesame; the third layer is mango fresh cream, the smooth cream brings out the sweetness of mango flavor. The cake itself tasted so soft and fresh. All of our guest praised it and felt satisfied. We finished the whole cake within 10 minutes. We will recommend it to all our friends.“

“The staff is so friendly!!! I was short $1.50 for my order and they just said it’s ok you can give me it tomorrow. After 20 minutes I came back and gave them $2 and told them to keep the change. They even thanked me for coming back! Wonderful food staff and place!“

“Got the popular pistachio raspberry cake slice and the mango passion fruit mousse cake. They were both great. The cake slice looks slim but is quite filling. The mango passionfruit mousse had a coconut base which was a little too sweet but the tanginess from the mousse balanced it well. Overall, it’s a decent spot to go to for those sweet cravings.“

“This spot in the UES is a true hidden gem. We absolutely loved the pistachio kunafe froyo. Initially, I was unsure if I’d enjoy it, thinking it might be too sweet, but it was incredibly delicious. The flavors were perfectly balanced—the sweetness and crunch of the pistachio kunafe complemented the creamy froyo wonderfully.

This was my second visit. During my first, I tried the froyo with mango and raspberry, and it was equally amazing.

I ordered a cappuccino, 2 Grand Opening cupcakes, and a box of macarons for my bf and I to share and it was all sooo good.

The cupcakes had a passionfruit icing/paste that I could tell was made with real passionfruit on the inside and the cake was the perfect texture and moisture level. As good as the cupcakes were though, the real star of the show was the macarons. They were out of this world. We tried one of every flavor and I was not let down. My favorites were the fruity pebbles and the earl grey.

“My sister and I got 2 bingsoos (black sesame and rice cake), a sweet potato latte, and a pistachio dacquoise. They were all very delicious and unique.
The sweet potato latte has a strong sweet potato taste, which satisfies the soul and the dacquoise was very soft and chewy. The bingsoos was also very unique. It kind of had a dry(?) flake to it, but I liked the texture of it. I do wish there was more red bean in it, but it still hit the spot.
Would love to come back and try more of their pastries.“

“We ordered a custom cake through Just-Delight-Full last weekend for my sons birthday and they did a fantastic job! The cake both looked amazing AND tasted amazing! We did a layer of red velvet with cream cheese frosting and a layer of vanilla cake with cannoli cream and it was one of the best cakes we’ve ever had. We got a lot of compliments on it from our guests and our son loved the dinosaur characters. We were so happy with how this cake came out and these ladies were so great to work with. “Excellent cappuccino, perfect for a dip of their excellent biscotti. I love coming here with the kids because they have little pastries that mean your kid is not eating his/her weight in sugar but feels like it's a nice treat.

These are the most delicious pignoli cookies I've ever had (almond with pine nuts on top) and are very expensive because they are only with almond flour. Be warned not to have price shock with those.“

“My husband and I were so happy to find WildFlour in LIC a few months before our wedding! We were initially on the fence about getting a wedding cake, but as soon as we met Gina for our tasting, we knew we needed to have a WildFlour cake.

We loved the unique, modern, and (most importantly) delicious cake/frosting options - it was hard to choose, but we ended up doing a champagne vanilla cake with champagne & honey lavender buttercream for our wedding cake. (For what it’s worth, my husband is not a cake/dessert person, but he loved the WildFlour cakes. His direct quote: “Best cake I have ever had”)

Leading up to our wedding, Gina was super responsive and accommodating with a couple of changes we wanted to make. On the day of our wedding, Gina coordinated her delivery with my florist so that she could decorate the cake with fresh flowers. The end result was beautiful and the cake was incredible! (In fact, we ended up eating the top tier of our cake the day after our wedding because there was no way we could wait a year.)

“The quality of taste over the years have been in a steady decline in my opinion, and I have been having this cake on occasions in one way, shape, form or another for the past 50 years. My grandmother started us, then my parents, then for my kids....it has steadily been baked too dry, not enough filling, and increased sweetness of the outer cake frosting...all makes for a recipe of being disappointed....but you cant tell tham at Valencia, because they swear there is nothing wrong with their product, but I differ, I have been getting the same feedback from many others as well...So What's Up Valencia????When are you going to admit it iij s time to change the Baker and or recipe???“
